2. How to Redeem Your Offer

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

The Costco by us has no phones in stock .. the wireless rep said he can order the phone (assign a new number and port our number later) and it will still qualify for this promo. Should I cross my fingers and hope he is right ?
When I asked about paying for the phone in full, she said that the credits would be monthly bill credits if she did that!

I would like to switch to T-Mobile and stay, but I have to see if I can get the service to work for me first. We have a very weak signal here, not sure if it will be viable. No Contract! UGH

It seems from the wording, the phone has to be activated on the number for 40 days, so in that time it can't be used on another sim, or lay unused while the sim is being used in another phone.
You're fine to use the sim on another phone after you've activated it on the original one. You're fine to use the phone on another line that's also Tmobile.
You just can't get it unlocked if you don't use it on tmobile for 40 days w/o changing sims.

Beware, the CSR said you need to keep the line open for 6 months. He said he had customer coming back reporting that T-mobile has been charging them for cancelling the line too early (i.e. after they get the rebate).
