2. How to Redeem Your Offer

2. Trade-in an eligible device.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

I need to buy some 6s to do this, but don't want to go out on a limb and order them before and gi stuck with 4 6s that are worth $100 less than I bought them for.

Saving money if your on a two year upgrade path. Plus like you said. If you lose your phone you have your photos backed up.

They didn't have any 11's in stock so they offered to order it online and told him he'd still get the $580 rebate. but they didn't tell him it'll be monthly credit and he didn't know it as well. He went back to costco today to cancel the order but they say its already shipped. What should be his next steps? There's a costco 5 miles further where there's stock and he wants to cancel the current order and buy it outright at the other store.
