Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.
The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.
How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500
iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580

Reps know people are cancelling so If you seem eager, they will sometimes lie because they know you will cancel sooner than they want.

We are eligible for like 12 lines based on the credit check, so do we just go back to costco and start all over with another line? Is this how it was done in previous years?
Seriously, these are good deals and returning a whole thing like this just makes it worse for everyone.
You mentioned you are eligible for 12 lines, is this a brand new account or just have been adding lines? If it's a new line and you cancel and try to sign up again with the same SS, you will not be able to.
If you return the phones and cancel the line(s) that you added in order to do a 'Black Friday' deal, this will not work because one of the terms is that you have to reactivate lines that were canceled within the past 90 days.
You would have to set up a whole brand new account.
Someone in the thread canceled a complete account and then tried to open up a new account at costco and the rep saw this and said he wasn't able to open up a new account until 6 months had passed.
It's people who are opening brand new accounts with 4 iPhone 11's and cancelling the complete account that are buying up all the stock.

I'm not opening a new account. I guess I'll mail in the trade
thx for the walk thru
If your rebate got denied, it's simply because the plan is not listed on the promo sheet. I only trust directly where the source is.
I also talked (one email, two phone calls) to T-Mo experts about my rebate. Guess what, three people gave me three distinctly different answers.

I hope all is well and thanks for reaching out to T-Force.
congrats on your new service with T-Mobile!
That's a great question about your first bill, and I'd love to help provide some clarification.
T-Mobile does use a Bill Current billing system. Bill Current billing pulls postpaid customer's payments forward one month, helping to reduce bad debt by moving up the payment received date by 30 days. The first bill cycle will close within 1 - 4 days of activation, so this is why you received the bill just a few days after activation, to cover the next month.
Please let me know if this makes sense, and if you have any account specific questions, you can verify your account below. ^VinnyFrancisco..
2nd message:
Id be happy to continue clarification. Any Post Paid account activated on or after May 20, 2012 are Bill Current. And you are correct, this is much like Pre Paid, in terms of paying upfront. All wireless companies practice this, again to prevent bad debt.
You can see on page 2 of your bill, you actually paid for Nov 10th-Dec 9th. Our billing system will forgive the prorated monthly reoccurring charges charges, associated taxes, and regulatory fee for the 1-4 days of the first bill cycle. This is why page 2 says Nov 10 - Dec 09. You actually did not pay for Nov 07, 2019 - Nov 09, 2019 as again, our system forgives those first few days. ^VinnyFrancisco
