Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

Damn that sucks. To tight of a deadline to order some phones online. Weird they outsourced the inspection process to resellers at Costco.
some have said you can bring the imei later on. I personally always had the trade ins in hand at the spot.

You can read up some more about that in this thread. Click on the top right of the page and click "search thread" and enter imei or something along those line

For unlocking purposes, does the new purchased phone need to stay linked to the IMEI that was registered under? In other words, can I port in my number, but then transfer the SIM to another device and leave the new phone unused, so to keep the new phone unused? Will that still be eligible for unlock later?
My understanding is no. The sim has to be associated with the imei you plan to unlock for 40 days total. If you put the sim into another phone at any time it will stop the clock on the other imei. I think the 40 days is cumulative so it's not like you start over but probably simpler if the 40 days was all at once.

I submitted my rebate on the t-mobile promotions web site last night. This morning I checked the rebate status and it says denied due to "ineligible device on receipt," which is b.s. because my Costco receipt shows that I purchased an iPhone 11. I called up the promotions department and the guy said the receipt looks good but they can't override the status until 30 days after the promotion has started. It started on 11/1 so I should call back on 12/1. Anyone else run into this problem?

The trade in imei will need to match the one listed on the label. The rep only does a basic check, his check really doesn't hold much water. It's when they receive it they'll do a full inspection so if it's bad they'll know. Don't think if you can get the rep to ok it that you're in the clear because he didn't catch something.

did you have the Costco logo at the very top of the receipt displayed?
that was an issue in the past XR deals.
The costco logo had to be visible.

When I reach out to TMOBILE, they said that simple choice plans are not valid for this promotion. Can any one got this offer who has joined in simple choice plan.
Did you read the wiki?!

Wiki says, How to Redeem Your Offer
1. To receive this offer, you must buy a new Apple iPHone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, XR, XS, XS Max and use the device on your new line of T-Mobile service.

Title and website says 11, XR, XS...

Can someone confirm if we can buy 11 pro or 11 pro Max and get this offer?

This deal is nearly three weeks old.

Mail-away rebate process same as this deal was last year, nothing new.

You can order a iPhone 6s Plus at tracfone with overnight fedex shipping before 3PM EST and will be delivered tomorrow. Use code Nov25 for 25% off. After the phone is shipped you can call to customer service and ask to share the IMEI. If you're lucky you might get it. I did it but YMMV.

Another issue was that the rep stamped over the transaction ID. other than that, I don't know what could be wrong.

I had the same issue when checking my rebate status last night, I was told by T force that once they received my trade-in device the status will update by itself.
