Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

No restriction.
But Costco ONLY had the iPhone 11 in: black, white and red.
According to a user here, they were able to purchase a purple iPhone 11. I chatted with costco a few minutes ago and he said that my local store has the purple and green iPhone 11 in stock.
Thank you. Just came back from store, all Costco in MI are sold out for t-mobile iPhone 11 or 11 pro.... :'D

Anyone successfully sent the iphone that reached tmobile and Confirmed it by calling them?
I sent yesterday and it is in transit. So just checking if I should just wait for the phone to reach !!
Guys, patience is a virtue! I sent in 3 phones last Wed. before noon. They left the PO by 1:52pm and arrived in York, PA from NJ on Sat at 1:46pm. And as of this morning starting at 9:30am, I received the first of three credits. The last was credited to my account at 11:00am.

The moral of the story is that the entire mail-in credited process took one week for me. Understandingly, shipping and processing time will be dependent primarily on your location and your original processing time. Moreover, they maybe processing at their peak of this promotion. I think, it is fairly simple to ascertain the logic. For most cases, if you have no issue getting a mail-in prepaid label(s), then you will be credited for your trade-in(s) in a reasonable and timely manner.

Patience my friends, patience!

Ok, so I scrolled back a few pages and also looked through the first few pages, but didn't find an answer. I am hoping someone can help.

So I have a iPhone6S that I use currently on a SimpleChoice Plan. Since I didn't want to lose the plan, I ended up having a friend open a new account and signed up for 4 lines (2 for him, 2 for me) and got 4 new iPhone 11. So I have to send the iPhone6S in and get the trade-in value as a bill credit and the rest as a Mastercard - all that is fine and I understand that part.

My question is the new iPhone 11 is on a new number which I don't care about. Can I use my existing number and existing SIM on this phone and start using it? Will it cause any issues in the rebates ie does the same phone need to be active on the same number at the time of rebate.

Costco and TMO reps told me this was fine. TMO rep asked for iPhone 11 imei to attach to desired line of service.

I think I read somewhere it is good to use the new phone with the new SIM at least a few times. So you are not cancelling without ever using the plan at all.

Exactly my experience , went to multiple Costcos none of them had any iPhones. But Customer rep said many purple ones in stock. Is there a daily cut off like when they print the inventory sheet at kiosk?
Yes, the inventory sheets are printed first thing in the morning, before the store opens up.
That is why I said it the way I did. When phones get received at 11am or noon, naturally nobody is informed at the wireless kiosk and they have no knowledge of it until the next morning with the new inventory sheet.

That is what I did. It was scanned in at my post office on Nov. 13, and due to arrive on Nov. 16. But today is the 20th, and it was never scanned in anywhere after that initial scan. (The next scan is usually at a distribution facility, but there is no record of my package in the system after the initial scan.)

I just opened a case with the post office. But expect I am now out of luck with the rebate.

Asking same question.

My rebate phone appears lost by the post office. -- wondering if I can cut my losses and return the iphone 11 to Costco?
Are we sure the rebate is out of the window? Pursue the post office for a bit, but if that does not work, would it work by getting another 6s for $150 or so and get new trade-in paperwork? It might be worth checking.

So I didn't participate in this deal, but I did recently buy a phone from Costco and would like to return it. The Costco policy and the paperwork I signed specifically says I have 90 days to return for a refund (14 days for the carrier service).

I went to the store yesterday to return and the rep at the kiosk said they could not accept returns after 14 days, that they could only do exchanges. I argued with her quite a bit but she kept insisting that she couldn't do anything and that the system would not even allow her to process a return. I'm pretty sure this was the same rep that sold me the phone, so my guess is she doesn't want to lose out on her commission.

I see that there has been a lot of talk about returning phones in this thread. Has anyone had any trouble? Is there any way I can escalate this? She would only give me the kiosk phone number, which I'm sure just goes directly to her. How do I make them follow their own policy and the legal contract that I signed if they just keep stonewalling me?

Note that I did not do any promotion when purchasing this phone because I thought there was a good chance I would return it. I'm not trying to get a free rebate card out of this.
Your assumptions are correct.

I checked all papers to see if i had them as per Wiki but seems like while putting them together rep lost the shipping label. Has anyone faced the same? does it needs another visit to Costco (70 miles of drive) OR can be done by any other means (online?). Any suggestion please.
You can reprint the shipping label yourself from your online t-mobile account.
Though, I can't offer you exact directions on finding where it is once you're logged on.

Yeah, I can put in the new SIM in it intermittently - would need to do that to unlock anyway. But yeah, pretty much the plan will go unused - maybe I will use it for data on weekends.

Why is this such a big issue? All iphones are dual sim and you can switch sim cards on the fly. You can assign a particular contact to use another sim. So assign that sim to your spouse or someone else so you end up calling often. That way its even easier.

Update: on my previous post in which the rep refused to process a return within the 90 day return period. I called the number the rep provided me, and of course the the same rep answered. They told me to call again tomorrow (which is what she had told me the day before) and her manager should be in, but that she had already talked to her manager and that they agreed there was nothing they could do and that I would have to try to get the refund through the carrier.

After bombarding wireless advocates twitter and any associated email I could find, I finally got a customer support number (1-888-369-5931). None of their sites or social media have a number or email of course. I explained the situation to the rep on the phone and they absolutely agreed that I was correct, but that could not handle the return over the phone/email. I would have to go to the kiosk to process the return. They suggested either trying another Costco or going to the same Costco and then having the rep call the 888 number and have them explain it to the rep over the phone.

Part of me wants to go to the same rep and rub it in their face. Part of me wants to just go to another Costco that will probably process the return no problem. I guess I'll decide based on how bad traffic is tomorrow.

FYI : When I got the phone the rep told `14 days verbally very clearly .I did not read the contract etc or ask about 90 day return

For everyone asking if the new sim needs to be on the new phone...Iphones support dual Sim. Once you get the phone, go to a tmobile store or contact support, they will move the new sim to the Esim in the phone, and then you can put your old Sim (w/ your old phone #) in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on 1 phone...you can even have 2 completely different services on 1 phone. I currently run Tmobile and Verizon off one phone.
