EDIT FROM MAY 2021-- THIS POST IS TWO YEARS OLD. THE CARD IT MENTIONS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO BE OPENED.

PLEASE STOP REPLYING TO A TWO YEAR OLD POST WONDERING WHY YOU CAN NOT FIND THIS SPECIFIC CARD/DEAL ANYMORE.

Chase Slate is only 15 months but 0% balance transfer fee.

The slate itself sucks as a card to actually use for anything other than the BT, but if you're mainly concerned about the BT, and the 3 extra months won't kill you, it saves you 3% of however much you're transferring over this... plus once you're done with the BT you can product change it into a genuinely useful card like a Freedom or something.
After years of being on airline miles cards I switched to this card. I am very happy with it. Airline miles are worth an average of 1.3 cents per dollar spent these days. This card is worth 2 cents per dollar to me as a shopper. It takes VERY little effort to redeem the 2% cash back. I enjoy the value and simplicity of this card. I find the citi web site and mobile app to be stronger than alternative bank sites and apps. I don't have the time or desire to manage multiple cards.

Not sure why you mentioning chase slate as one offering 0% balance transfer fee, just checked slate offers and all I got is 3% and 4% fee, depending on the length of the transfer.

Why do you hate free money?

Folks would routinely get money back just for a couple of clicks online with price protection.

No standing in line for anything. In fact it often let you AVOID standing in line because you could buy wherever was easy and get the difference between that and the price the idiot standing in line during black Friday paid.

You seem incredibly proud about having intentionally not gotten yourself a bunch of cash back in your pocket. Maybe you're on the wrong forum? LMAO

Is it possible to transfer balances from a chase to discover card, and then back to chase? I have BT offers for 2 of my cards that allow 0% for a year, but I have a higher limit on one of the cards and could get possibly 0 apr on the Discover.

I've never used a balance transfer card before, how much of a balance are most people being approved for transfer?

This is a card that you can get good rewards with good spending/paying habits. You will lose your interest free grace period if you carry a balance even if the balance is at 0% APR promotional rate. If you need a card to transfer balance I suggest that you look for a credit union card with no rewards but also low APR

What is the best card with no balance transfer fee and 0% interest for 18 months?

Needed a balance transfer option for an outstanding balance on a CC. Any better options out there? Seems like 18 months and 3% is pretty much as good as it gets.

I would suggest Chase Slate or BoFa card with zero transaction fee. I don't want to prepay my interest via fee. Bad deal but again if you are paying 18% then that is different story.

Another option to throw in the mix would be the Fidelity Visa 2% Credit Card. Not sure if there are any balance transfer offers at the moment, but purchases of ANY kind will get you 2% cashback which you can deposit to your bank, but there are also options to direct to any of the cashback towards an investment, a retirement, or a 529 account at Fidelity.com.

Other places to review bonuses and cashback would be hustlermoneyblog.com or Nerdwallet.com

I never considered price protection or return protection a benefit I'd ever use. It's for people who stand in Walmart return lines (losers) returning everything they bought. Or oooh I found a better price over there so give me back the difference. The banks are closing this benefit because it's being abused from the same kinda people who abuse return policies. I don't blame them. Extended warranties and travel protection is another thing and can't be abused by the walmart return line loser type.
Well said.

Out of all the credit cards I have had over the last 30 years, this Citi card has been great for our use. Citi has always taken good care of me as a customer. They resolve issues quickly and the rates are great. The cash back is easy to apply to your balance and the card has many other features. They just lowered my rate to 1.99% on purchases until the middle of 2020.

I get more returns on this card than my Chase Freedom on average. For me , their Virtual Card is the biggest selling point.
