Always need to consider the transfer fee for balances transfers, and should be included in this post.

"There is a balance transfer fee of either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater."
EDIT FROM MAY 2021-- THIS POST IS TWO YEARS OLD. THE CARD IT MENTIONS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO BE OPENED.

PLEASE STOP REPLYING TO A TWO YEAR OLD POST WONDERING WHY YOU CAN NOT FIND THIS SPECIFIC CARD/DEAL ANYMORE.

Chase Slate is only 15 months but 0% balance transfer fee.

The slate itself sucks as a card to actually use for anything other than the BT, but if you're mainly concerned about the BT, and the 3 extra months won't kill you, it saves you 3% of however much you're transferring over this... plus once you're done with the BT you can product change it into a genuinely useful card like a Freedom or something.
After years of being on airline miles cards I switched to this card. I am very happy with it. Airline miles are worth an average of 1.3 cents per dollar spent these days. This card is worth 2 cents per dollar to me as a shopper. It takes VERY little effort to redeem the 2% cash back. I enjoy the value and simplicity of this card. I find the citi web site and mobile app to be stronger than alternative bank sites and apps. I don't have the time or desire to manage multiple cards.

what if i convert my simplicity card to a double cash card like citi keeps asking me to do, still get the balance transfer?
Not unless you apply for the double cash card online and go through a hard credit check. Don't do it over the phone.

Just call chase and request to change your slate to a different card. I had my Slate changed to a Freedom Unlimited a while ago. Same credit line and no hard inquiry but might be different for every person.
You also don't get the $200 bonus that way.

I have spark by capital one that I signed up for my business and it was giving 2% back (I haven't confirmed they are still doing this).

Anyone else using that, how does it compare?

Any other recommendations for business cards?

Neither of these statements are true. The minimum redemption is $25, not $50. And you CAN redeem as a statement credit.
If you have the Citi premier, you can convert the cash back into thank you points that can be transferred to airlines. Far better value than the actual cash back.

One of the top post here says Chase Slate has a 15 month option, sucks for anything other than the 0% BT.

I took advantage of the Chase Slate 0% BT and it's about paid off now.. I plan to convert my Chase Slate to a Freedom Unlimited. Others have done it without issue.

I applied this card and I haven't recieved more than 12 days. I reached the customer service to get card with expedite service after waited for several days. they are not ready do that and can't close my account. they denied my request.
again regarding credit limit, don't expect credit limit irrespective of your good credit history

Overall... process is very poor. not meet the customer expectation.

I applied this today. My credit score is 810. No credit cards opened in last 5 years. No hard checks in last 5 years except one refinance. No credit card has more than 20% balance. But, the limit citi approved for me on this is only 8k. Damn. 8k is less than half limit of the lowest limit credit card I have. I shouldn't have applied. This is just a marketing trick by Citi to pull customers and approving low credit lines. Stay away.

Man, I used to like Bank of America and their shopsafe feature where you could let a limit for a virtual card before they get nixed the whole thing! Citi's similar feature is not the same from what I can tell! Fudging cc companies don't make anything easy except the new world order's takeover!

Not sure what may not be the same, but you can set a limit on a Citi VAN, but it is limited to only one vendor, once that vendor makes a charge on the card, only they can make subsequent charges on that VAN.

It looks like Slate is no longer? Isn't on the web and lots of Google stuff referencing that it was being discontinued.

Any other zero fee balance transfer cards out there?

Is the Virtual card feature expected to stay, or have they said they're getting rid of it?
I might get it just for this feature, used to have BofA.

If the VAN is on the chopping block, I might not apply.
