SV35N is a more premium steel than VG-10, but the Cold Steel AD10 is almost double the price of the Sypderco knives in this deal.
And the Cold Steel has a thicker and more stout blade than the full flat grind, thinner blade on the Spyderco Endura 4 and Delica 4 in this particular deal. Two different knives for different kinds of work. I carry the very similar Byrd Cara Cara 2 (Spyderco budget version of the Endura 4 in 8Cr13MoV) at work and love it because I often have to trim produce and the thin FFG blade does a wonderful job of it.
I'm tempted to upgrade to the Endura 4 for the better steel, but I got my Cara Cara 2 with a stainless steel handle for $20 and change during a Prime sale, so that makes it mighty special in my thrifty little heart.
I also read some advise somewhere to, within reason, stop fixating on the steel of a knife and only buy if the design or something other than materials attracts you to the knife. Spending more for more premium steel doesn't always make sense, but if you've got deep enough pockets then more power to you (and consider me jelly.)

They're very different knives. I only brought it up due to the fact that people looking at either deal may be interest in the other. Since I posted both deals at the same time, I separated them by brand.
The Swift I was also on sale with a 3.5" blade in XHP which is a premium steel. It was $50 and a heck of a deal. It sold out as I was creating the post for SlickDeals, so sadly it wasn't included.
Typically Woot has bigger sales on Cold Steel than on Spyderco. The Spyderco prices listed today are good, but they aren't the lowest ever. I've seen both these knives go as long as $35 in the past. This is definitely not the lowest that Woot can sell these at, but I don't think they will ever drop the price more since they almost always sell out.
For the price, I would get more use out of the AD10 camping than the Spydercos. The AD10 can take a ton of torture and survive. I've watched people splitting fire wood with it. You aren't going to do that with the Spyderco.

Very good points. You've got to stop posting all these Woot knife sales. I'm broke as it is, but you've got me itching to pull out the ol' credit card.
