My was ordered through online costco,

I found this side sticker a little later after I already open the box, and you can visually verify you have an i5-cpu without even cutting the tape seal (or visually check the box in store). See attached picture.
Awesome. Thank you!

Been looking for a 10th gen laptop to replace my HTPC. The only thing I'm concerned about is HDMI 1.4b. I'd like to run 4K content as well as Atmos sound and HDR, but not sure this older spec is up to the challenge. What do y'all think? Maybe I'll just get an Nvidia Shield.
This is another option. It works really well on 4K stuff using Kodi and a Plex streamer.

I went to the store to look at it. Worst chassis build quality I've ever seen in a laptop. The keyboard was like jelly, dipping I. middle with light touch and the whole case flexed when lifted.
$280 bruh for i5-10th gen /end

Way to bring up a sore subject Stick Out Tongue. Amazon never "targets" me for discounts. I'll be puchasing one whenever I can get it for $25. I refuse to pay a dollar more than other people.

cant believe the many people who still think 14" laptops should drastically be cheaper than 15.4".

this is an absolutely great deal. its common to find $200-300 15" laptops. they arer heavy clunky and not as compact.

14" is the sweet spot.

and this is i5-10th gen.
its faster than i7-8th gen
all for $280!!!!!!!!

I thought the same thing until I went and looked at it. The flex was so soft it was practically unusable. Just typing on the keyboard was enough to flex the entire top plate. I mean if you want to waste nearly 300$ that could go towards a much nicer build quality laptop. 10th gen can be ordered from Dell or HP with their standard laptop chassis for around 500$. This chassis is some sort of bottom barrel plastic keyboard without supports. Sure you could hook it up to a monitor keyboard stuff but what's the point of a laptop then.

Have you physically looked at the laptop? All I'm saying is unless you absolutely can't afford to spend slightly more avoid this due to the build quality. It's that bad. There's a reason it's this price.

This is a great deal, the processor is a 4 core I5. with backlight keyboard, 802.11ac (2x2) For this price <300, I am putting up with the flimsy mechanicals ( low quality of workmanship ). I doubt it will last long but for 300 bucks, it is very worth it.

I wonder if there is a way to 3D print a support to prevent that keyboard flex. Something to shim under the space between keys and whatever is underneath that.

I'm not sure if the build quality changed since I bought the same laptop model last year, but I've been using it for a while now and it seems fine. I'm not saying that it's great, but for an everyday laptop it seems just fine to me.

I would be surprised if they don't offer it to everyone on or near black friday.
