I have to pull it out twice to get it out. Doesn't bother me. Just seems normal to me...

Maybe you're just being a little nit picky? Don't think it's a real issue to be honest
Sorry, I guess I have been using the 2018 version for the past year everyday so I'm very used to that, and I unconsciously compare my experience from that with this one.

Yes I think you can probably put 2x16GB in it unless there's some unknown restriction placed on total memory in the system. However, for most regular home users 32GB is probably overkill. People who actually need 32GB of RAM for their work will usually have much more powerful systems than this one.

8GB is likely enough for most home users. I opted to spend a little more to get 16GB total just in case it comes in handy on occasion. Seemed worth it for an extra $30+. Never really considered 32GB because I couldn't imagine when I'd need more than 16GB for the expected life of this computer, and 32GB does cost quite a bit more.
Thanks. Where di you get the 16GB memory? how much did you get ti for?

No, I bought the SSD from Microcenter and bought RAM off of Amazon and did the upgrade at home.

SSD I bought: https://www.microcenter.com/produ...tate-drive

RAM: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QMMZ...UTF8&psc=1
Is this a good addition? Don't think I need more than 12gb. Is the laptop compatible with using a 4gb that's already and adding this 8gb to the laptop be compatible?

I have an older Hp i5 laptop from work and the battery is pretty much done, but the power cord does go in smoothly on that one. Maybe this was an intended update?

No idea..but didn't even give it a second thought until I read your post. Then I tried it out and noticed it does take two pulls to take out the cord. Haha

Thanks for making me notice such a little detail! Haha

I do notice the trackpad isn't as nice as the Lenovo IMHO compared to the 330s

Can I add a 8GB in the other slot and keep the 4GB in there - to make total 12 Gig? if so, is there anything to check to ensure the both RAM's are compatible

No there is no need to worry. The only flip side is that in a 4+8 combination only the 8 GB Ram will work as Dual channel instead of full 12.

Crap HP laptops. 2 broken in the row in 6 months and will be returning it. First with screen issue right out of the box. Also, the top cover bulged/swollen. Exchanged it with an upgraded with same series of HP except for more rams and ssd space with about $100 more. Again, the top too bulged on the same spot too though didn't cause any functional issues to the screen. Now that the right click trackpad button sunk and making very cloud clicking noise. I had a couple HP and worked fine for years. This is going back to Costco and done with HP at this price point. If without these issues, this would be a decent laptop.

I thought this would be an issue from what I was reading. Just bought the 16gb from amazon.

Any way to buy this as a non-US resident? I'm arriving after Nov 21st and there's no way I can input my international CC in Costco's site. Also I don't know anyone enough to buy it for me, and there's no place that I've seen that can email me the # of a Cash Card. Seems I'm screwed
did you try to order through google shopping?

The fan in this laptop sounds like a mini jet engine! Honestly quite loud! The power supply get quite hot too!

I was literally just about to post this. Is there a solution? Mine is disabled as well but is constantly on, and pretty loud. Otherwise the laptop works well.
Mine is loud to o even though the Fan Always On is diabled in BIOS, after all the windows update. Can some one chime in to post a solution?

Yeah, I find it pretty loud.
Worse than the 2018 version.

This is 1 solution that I found online. Not perfect, but when doing something not too CPU intensive, this helps with the noise.
