BT 5.0 has a much larger range than 10m which makes me think these aren't really BT 5.0

I ended up buying these and they were delivered today. For $10, I figured it was worth finding out what the true wireless hype was all about. First impression are they're actually really nice for the price.

You get the rechargeable case with nice magnets that allow for easy charging recharging. I've only ever had regular headphones, so pairing these was not so intuitive, but once I paired them, it was fine. One thing to note is to not enable the "HD audio: SBC" option on Android Bluetooth device settings. This makes the audio extremely choppy on the left earbud and eventually disconnects after a few seconds. The bass is bass-ically (😋) nonexistent, even after maxing out all the bass options in a system-level equalizer. I'm happy with my $10 purchase. I guess the two things left to test are battery life and water resistance. Most of my previous cheap headphones have failed the water resistance test, even when they claim water resistant IP ratings.
