FYI, some have complained of metal shavings coming off the can, which can potentially get in your food...here is a quote from one of the reviews:
"I purchased this product 2 years ago. At first it was awesome but what I started noticing overtime were metal shavings on my counter after opening cans. Upon further investigation, I noticed lots of metal shavings and discontinued using it for safety reasons. I wouldn't want anyone in my family including the dogs to ingest metal shavings. Definitely would not buy this product for safety reasons."
There are reviews I read but I don't remember where (maybe the OXO smooth can opener) that says the metal shavings are from overcuttting. The metal cutter grinds against the inside part of the can and leaves shavings. As long as you stop once the lid is open then there shouldn't be any shavings.

I think their comment was more tongue in cheek rather than serious.

I've had one for several years; it does need periodic readjustment. Normally, the can spins once and the lid pops off. At some point, I noticed the lid removal wasn't as effective, the can spun around multiple times before the lid disengaged (if at all) and there was more damage around the edges. I gave it the once-over and noticed the separating mechanism could be adjusted / tightened up, which took care of the issue. This may also be related to the "metal shavings" complaint.

I love the fact that they are using a pull-tab can in the example image.

For those complaining because you can't use the top to drain tuna with this, all you gotta do is grab the tuna in your hand and squeeze.
You're going to get looks and maybe some fist bumps with that Tuna hand.

I know this was a joke but you can still drain it with this cut, it just doesnt quite get as much water out of it. You have to sorta push one side of the top into the bottom and continually rotate it.

Actually i was serious as I've found it the most effective and quickest way to drain tuna. People use their hands when making food everyday so I don't understand the comments about touching the tuna. As long as you are making it for your family what's the big deal? Wear gloves if you want to.

Don't you touch the bread if you make sandwiches for your kids? Same difference.

The pull-tabs ones are very sharp inside and have a smaller opening. I have only cut my hand on the pull-tab ones.
The other thing I like about this type of opener is that you do not get juices running over the lid and then run back inside the can like you do with the traditional style.

We've been using this exact can opener now for 5+ years. It seriously is the best can opener we've ever owned. Cuts the top of the can off without sharp edges, plus you can place can lid back on top of can to put in the refrigerator if need be? Great for pet food. Great can opener for the price!

wtf. What are the odds that everyone that happens to have this can opener happen to be avid repliers and happen to have seen the deal posted before everyone else.

Paranoid much? There's somebody with multiple accounts trying to sell a can opener? Ok...

You get rep from posting deals too? In theory you could post one good deal and get a ton of rep although most people can't be bothered to give rep.

Let's say you wash your hands at every step, how do you contain the tuna in your hands to extract the water. You just extract tuna slurry which is full of delicious tuna and the tuna left behind is still watery. It's crazy!
