Comparing baseline parts/benchmarketing, the G706 looks like a better deal to me, since the 2070 Super is faster than the 2080, and you get a 1TB SSD instead of 500GB for the same price ($1300). I always worry that the open-box units have been taken home and overclocked all to hell, but that's just me being paranoid...
I write software for a living and run lots of VMs, so the extra core/thread count on the Ryzen 7 is useful to me, vs the miniscule edge that the stock 9700K has over it for gaming. I'm playing Outer Worlds at 4K with no issues, so I'm very happy with it.
I don't overclock my PCs as a rule, so please keep that in mind.

Water cooled, rtx 2080. , i7 9700k ,500 gb ssd is plenty plus I have a 2tb I can toss in. Still has the warranty from mc for anything

I never thought water cooling was much use at stock speeds, but the unit in this G706 is so quiet even with gaming at 4K that I think I'll add it as a requirement to all future systems.
