These bottomline basic TVs ("Dumb TVs) are soon going to be extinct. Its going to be harder and harder to find these especially with so much tracking/snooping going on with house hold electronics.

Grab em while they are still available.
I've always needed just a quality display. Never a need for any smart features or speakers for that matter. Getting a smart TV is like buying a TV/VCR combo IMO.

The Smart TVs I have are not connected to the internet. No snooping.
There is a TV sales chart at rtings.com showing the price cycle in the USA for TVs. The only time of the year lower than now is in the spring & summer when buying last year's models that can still be found on clearance. It is in the main article on TV deals.
Good price for elderly parents who can't tell the difference between SD and HD anyway, and certainly don't know how to use smart apps
I was tempted to order one for my MiL, until I saw the 720p (since it's likely going into the den, which means it'll be used mainly by my sons and I while grabbing a breather during holiday dinners)

Saw a few locations with Open Box for ~$47.
Yeah but if all they do is watch TV who cares, TV is only 720p/1080i anyway. But movies/games, aim a little higher.
Strange that it mentions 1080p in the brochure but says 720p here? Looking further I can only seem to find this model for sale here: https://www.shophq.com/Product/488-011 which lists it as $120 then a cached page from microcenter does show it listed on sale as $99 so seems like a good deal?

And I already have 4 tvs on the walls. Replaced old 32" which was not responding to remote. Batteries were checked. The Seiki has vga port which was needed for my cctv. Picture and sound are decent especially at $59.99. $65 total with tax! My expectations are commensurate with the price. Would have liked to have movies play from usb with flash drive.
