Before people asking if this drive is better than XXX, go through this document [borecraft.com], written by u/Newmaxx, and it should answer your question. You can also use this flowchart [borecraft.com] to see which drive is more suitable to you.

Yes, Inland Premium is also $99 @Microcenter, and both the Inland and Sabrent share the same hardware (supposely). The difference between the two drive is warranty (Sabrent has 5 year and Inland has 3 year). Choose which ever is more convenient to you.

Yes, the SX8200 Pro/GAMMIX S11 Pro from couple weeks ago (amazon lightning deal+ coupon) is the better deal simply because it's cheaper.

And before people talk about the switch and bait issue of Sabrent Rocket SSD, here is a discussion [reddit.com]on this topic.
This is the topic I mentioned in my previous post link here.

Quote from u/Newmaxx: "It's just the new E12S layout with 96-layer NAND. It looks similar to the E8 but...it's obviously not since the E8 is keyed for x2 PCIe and the E12/E12s is x4. Don't have to look at anything else to know that. The newer E13T would be a candidate but it's DRAM-less, and the DRAM is one part of the drive you can see clearly."

"It's not an E8. The E8 is a x2 drive and is notched/keyed differently. It's also far slower. The specifications on the E12 drives can't change because that would be a marketing disaster, therefore it's reasonable to assume the E12S (which is the "new" controller) is just an E12 in a smaller process node. Unfortunately some reviewers who don't know the hardware have spread speculation about the drives which is why I made this post in the first place. The layout is different because the drive has moved to four NAND packages per side instead of two; this is good because it's now single-sided at 1TB, and the move to 96L/512Gb NAND also allows for a 4TB SKU. This NAND is equal or superior to what was used before (in my opinion, superior)."
Just fyi, the reformat tool is kinda buggy. Had to try on 3 different computers before it took.

Works for me. You probably have an extra space in the code.
Worked now, thanks! I thought the promo code was using a code I had in my payment method not the product's promo code. Had to keep the box checked in order for the code to work.

I actually am just returning mine today due to technical issues with it. Supposedly Sabrent used a different manufacturer for these batches and now run off of the old architecture design. You can read someone's review (deuce) on Amazon with detailed pictures. Unfortunately I couldn't get mine out of 512e into 4K sectors. Had other issues with it being detected on my new Costco laptop, etc... I switched to the SX8200 and am waiting for it to come in now.

Is Samsung 970 Evo worth the extra $30? 970 Evo is for sale at $140 at MC, if you buy a CPU you get extra 10 off making it $130 plus tax. BF incoming, should I wait?

Anyone had any issues formatting their drive and end up having to return/exchange? Just got the 4TB and drive will not format (Intel 660P has no issues formatting/working on same computer).

The irony being the old Rockets came as 4Kn and people had trouble cloning to it from 512e drives! I agree that 4Kn is superior but 512e is generally still the default for consumer drives. None of the hardware changes should otherwise impact anything, but the new drives have custom firmware which may be causing issues. Those who have one of these drives, check the driver and identification tool (Phison nvme flash id2) in bold in my thread here [reddit.com].
