I wouldn't do it unless you can sort through the shoes in store. Or buy 8 pairs at a time. I'm not exaggerating the quality control is that bad. Took over 6 pairs of AE fifth ave and I gave up the exchange game getting clearly shoes that would be considered seconds. Finally settled on the 8th pair of Park Avenues I got.

Are these the same prices in store as well? I got in on the camo higgins during the last deal a couple weeks back and need to return my shoes so it would be great if I could do a return and replace.

AE shoes are great but finding a decent pair isnt that easy. Can't speak to how their quality used to be but I bought my first pair, daltons, last year for my wedding and it was beyond a hassle. AE customer service was great buy the whole thing made me hesitant to buy again

For those that just bought shoes, I just called in today and had them refund the difference. FYI the factory seconds also get 20% discount if their first hand counter parts have 20% off. This makes higgins mill tumbled leather $129 in factory second.
ALSO, QC is horrible, but I settled with the higgin mills I got since it would get beat up anyway. One of the most comfortable shoes I've purchased.

This has been my exact experience. My issue with them is the variation on sizing. I get that the lasts are different, but when you have over 100 combinations, you would expect that there'd be some consistency. I had to return a defective pair to a store 1 hour away, who then couldn't process a return because the card number wasn't being recognized and therefore ended up shipping them back... At which point I was charged restocking fees. It's not worth the hassle any more.

After their rebrand their quality and consistency is questionable in my opinion. More disappointing is the complete change in their colors. I wanted to buy another dark chili Park Ave I got before the rebrand but their dark chili now is just a boring ass brown. They still have great customer support in store so he just have to deal with that hassle.

Definitely only worth it if you buy them as seconds and on clearance.
