This is a fantastic deal. For reference, the SD BF gaming laptop thread doesn't show a better deal for a 1660ti and similar specs (and this has 32GB RAM). I just looked up GPU benchmarks and the 1660ti performances within 6-9% of a 2070-MaxQ, though it's likely louder and won't be found in the thinner gaming laptops. The only concern I have is whether the screen is actually 144Hz, as this review[pcgamer.com] of the laptop says that this exact model number has a 60Hz panel. Can anyone confirm?

I'm looking on MSI's webpage for this model ( https://us.msi.com/Laptop/GL63-9S...cification ). The top of the page lists model numbers but doesn't have GL63 9SDK-842, but GL63 9SEK-842 with 32 gb of ram of 512gb ssd, monitor listed at 60 hz.
But then the 1st line of the specifications is also model number and it does have GL63 9SDK-842. Other specs match the description to the limit of my attention-paying.
So anyhow that's a lot of words for MSI's website says 60 hz.

This model is not available anywhere else and may be a Walmart specific model and can have 144 hz display. I tried hard but couldn't find this specific model anywhere else.

Thanks for the info. I definitely want a faster screen for gaming, though I love the specs on this rig. I searched and found a super similar laptop, Model GL65 9SDK-026, that I'm thinking of getting for only $50 more. Everything is the same but with a 120Hz screen, even though the description says it's 60Hz (it also says it's a GL63, so there's that). Apparently the GL65 line has great specs, but poor color contrasts. Gets 60+ frames at 1080p on Ultra + highest advanced settings. (review here)[notebookcheck.net]
According to the spec sheet you linked, it actually doesn't say it's 120Hz, but every other model in the GL65 series is and I can't find a single review or product in this line that has anything less. I've never gamed on anything higher than 100Hz, as my desktop 34" G-Sync Predator is capped at 100Hz, so does anyone have constructive input as to whether there is a noticeable difference between 120Hz and 144Hz? Is it worth holding out for a 144Hz?

I ordered the 9SDK-026 based on similar research and it looks like you were correct about the 120Hz. The box says Led Panel: 15.6" FHD anti-glare IPS-level like the other GL65's on the MSI website.

Thanks for the post. I really did not need fast screen as I just needed for work but other model is not available so I guess don't want to miss this combination.
