I bought it in July for the same "Lightning Deal" price without the extender. I do have my own extender so that was not an issue. For what it's worth, it has issues. Network is fine, I never have Wi-Fi issues. But it's often loses sensor status and says there's a sensor problem. Also if you try to close it and it doesn't work, it will not let you retry again after 2 hours. So if you drove away from the house while closing it... And it threw an error, you have to come back because you cannot retry few more times. I have since replaced the sensor to try another one, and I also swap the box to see if that's the issue with the box. It still happens once in awhile so I wouldn't say it's reliable. When it works is really nice and intergration with Google home is free for now.

I bought these a few months ago, and really like them; however, I don't know how to link them to my smart home with Alexa or smart things or one of those things. I am not of the techie generation like so many of you, but I learned so much from your comments. Do any of you know how to link those to Smart Home?
I too bought the meross opener, but haven't installed in yet. I really want to use Alexa integration to check status, open and close without having to say something like Alexa tell such and such to unlock garage door. I'd prefer, Alexa open garage door. No subscriptions. Which one wins?
