This is the Black Friday price of $29.99, available now. AT&T prepaid 16GB Motorola MOTO E5 Play phone [bestbuy.com] at Best Buy. Unless you plan to activate on an at&t plan at the time of purchase, make sure to click "activate later" before adding it to your cart. This should work with at&t mvnos, just pop the mvno sim in before turning it on.

-Quad-core 1.4GHz processor and 2GB of RAM
-5.2" IPS HD touch screen
-Android 8

This phone is difficult to unlock, according to discussion from last time this was a deal. So you'd only want it for at&t or an at&t mvno.

AT&T does have a plan that is prepaid where you pay $2 per day only when the phone is used. So why couldn't you use it just once a month for the six months and that would be $12 that you'd spend on usage. Then you would have six months and you could ask them for the unlock code

why s it hard to unlock i thought they have to unlock phones for free
i remember when the Microsoft Lumia 520 were ~$20 for them as Go-Phones i was able to unlock them for free online

Don't do it. I provided a link to the last deal in the op if you want to go through discussion there where they already hashed over how unlocking isn't gonna work anymore unless you have it on at&t 6 months, and unlock codes from ebay didn't work, either.
