Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

If you buy the base 11, it's about $630 in the store now.

You will only get $630 total back. No more than the purchase price.
Where in the terms does it state this?

iPhone 11 $630+tax + 2-3 months of service (cheapest $60 + tax) - $700 rebate after 6-8 weeks. You can unlock on day 41 but if you didn't receive the rebate by then you'll lose out on it if you cancel the service.
But I believe the max rebate you can receive is the price of the phone or $700 whichever is lower. So in the case the max rebate would $630.

Not just that, most of the time they offer these crazy deals when their rates already went up. There is no way they would give me a free phone when I am already paying 30% less than new customers or when I pay about same but have other perks. They always do that, I rather pay a lot less per month than buy expensive phones for cheap.
Exactly. We are already paying a cheap price on the plan itself. Last year, Costco did the free iPhone XR and allowed simple choice users to be eligible. There are ways to get a cheap device but you have to put some work in. Everyone expects a free or heavily discounted price without there being some strings attached. "Oh add a line. Oh trade in. PASS" 😂😂better for us who know it's still a great deal.

If we buy an used iPhone 7 locally how do we check that it is not iCloud locked? Anyway to tell before making the purchase or once we buy and reset to factory default it will no longer be iCloud locked? So pretty much any iPhone 7 will work as long as no cracked screen and can be carrier locked as well correct? How about minor scratches on the phone, but not on screen?
Checking if it's icloud locked is easy. If the seller hasn't erased the phone, just go to settings to see if it's still logged into an iCloud account. If the seller has already wiped the phone and it shows the "Hello" screen, just go through the process and make sure it prompts you to enter a new Apple ID, and that it doesn't prompt you to login to a specific Apple ID. If that doesn't make sense, just go through the whole set up process, and then see under settings if it's logged into a certain iCloud account already.

When you buy, it's also important to make sure that the IMEI is clear (not blacklisted, not listed as missing, etc). I don't know a good way of doing this. Maybe Swappa? Perhaps a more knowledgeable member could chime in on this part.

Too bad you can't have more than 3 lines on a 55+ account.

If you have already availed the previous deal of $580 then can we have this $700 again on same account?

Anyone know if they'll let the people who just got the $580 deal to return the phones and get the $700 deal?
wow
whyyyyy would you do this.

And anyway, one of the main restrictions is, if you canceled a line within the past 90 days, you have to reactivate those lines in order to qualify.

Confused

Note if you buy a $630 phone then you will get up to a $630 rebate. It's "up to" the cost of the phone.

so the trade in phone needs to be unlocked?
Quote from OceanTwelve :
It has to work with your T-Mobile service. If that means it has to be unlocked to work with it, yes. When they trade-in your phone, they need to see that your SIM is connected to it so they can verify that it is your account.
No, it does not have to be unlocked.
There cannot be an iCloud account on the phone. The phone CAN be carrier locked.

It's retired couple plan, not a retirement home or extended care facility plan. LOL.
It was supposed to be for couples who are over 55 or retired etc on their way to be "senior citizen". I am surprised they allowed people to add 3rd line, it was always 2 lines.

I would just cancel 3rd line and get a 2nd 55+ plan for 2 lines.
But the 55+ plan is not listed as eligible. (I see they listed as Magenta 55, nm)

Is it confirmed you can withdraw the prepaid MasterCard into your account using direct deposit? I don't have any experience with these prepaid cards.

I don't think anyone was saying they were cheated. Just that it's too bad you can't add more lines after 3.

End of story.

Where is the cheapest place to pick up an iPhone 7 to trade? Any of the carriers (like Tracfone, Boostmobile, etc.) have any deals or should I look for one locally?
