-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans
-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.
-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".
-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.
-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100
-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.
-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get
-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.
-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.
-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
This is ABSOLUTELY wrong
ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Unless you did the trade in successfully from the last trade in .. you should NOT tell/recommending others to do the same. Just because costco employee scan phone does not make it acceptable to Tmobile.
Costco employee just enter the IMEI for the initial trade credit value/condition. They are not obligate the check if your phone has some other obligation or balance etc... the goal here is to NOT have to pay you.. why do you think it is so complicated to get a phone ..submit receipts, forms etc.. like rebates...
When you send the phone in, T-mobile can still reject it and you are out a lot of $$ and may pass your windows of return.
The rep had to initiate the trade in.
So currently there is no record of you doing a trade in. This could hurt you because when you contact Tmobile about it, there will be no record of it.
And, yes, I agree, some reps are really clueless.
I went during the $580 promo and there was a worker who literally just started working that morning at the kiosk. I told them I'd come back another time since I had an important meeting to go to.
I would think if you go there during week day when they are not too busy.. get them correct the mistake for you.. they dont really want you to return the phone..ie lost commission.
I have 1x 11 Pro Space Gray and 3x 11 Purple whose IMEIs are not being recognized by the COSTCOAPPLENOV promotion page.
I just got off the phone with T-Mobile Promotions customer support. Spoke to a very nice rep named Pam. Salient points:
- Said this issue has been escalated beyond IT to their Core engineering team
- Did not give me a bogus ETA, just said the issue was being worked at a high priority
- They're aware this is causing anxiety and she assured me repeatedly that they would honor this promotion even if they had to do it all manually
- She recorded the details of my purchase - the date and the IMEI of each new phone and added them as notes in my account
- Keep trying every couple of days
- She urged me to not delay sending the trade-ins - although confirmed that if it were working, the online registration can be completed before trade-ins are sent. Again reiterated my details are now in their system, and they will honor the promotion. No need to delay.
Bottom line - this sounds very reassuring, but I might wait a few more days before I pull the trigger and mail in the trade-ins.Sign up for a Slickdeals account to remove this ad.
Yes, it's gonna be a hassle; but 6-8months seem too long of an estimate.
Anyone????
Can this be accomplished using the esim? Current sim and number is with verizon.
