Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Do you have to port in number or can you be new customers?
It is literally buying a phone straight up - you just buy it with no requirements. NOTE: this is only for the preowned phone through their website. again, I had a friend trade it in DIRECTLY TO T-MOBILE in-store, not mailed in, to get the bill credits (he's an actual customer) and it was fine.

Dude you got ripped off at Boost. How did you end up paying $305? The phones are supposed to be $50 each on a plan or $130 each if bought outright from their website

I did this yesterday and my total was $232 including taxes and I still feel like I got ripped off by the activation fees
$50 phone
$50 phone
$25 activation on 1 phone
$0 activation on second phone if I signed up for insurance and bought an accessory
$80 plan
$7 insurance on 1 phone
$0 insurance on 2nd phone (1st month free)
$10 screen protector
+ tax
I called my local Boost store and they told me it was be around $350 for the $50 iPhone deal. He said I would need to get a minimum of 3 months of prepaid service. I'd passed on it and will try calling other stores tomorrow. Confused

iPhone 8 for $300? Is that the trade value?

How much for 11 after iPhone 7 trade? If you know thx
Yes, the $300 was the trade in value. I don't know what the trade in value for the 7 will be. The current iPhone trade in deals all just say "up to $700," so I don't the value of each model.....I had only asked about trading in my son's 8.

I was inquiring about the current deal for the 11, which says I could basically trade in a iPhone 7 or higher and get an iPhone 11, but only when you add a line. Since I'm still on the Simple Choice plan, she said I didn't qualify to add a line and would have to upgrade my plan, and would still have to add a line for the new iPhone.

I have no need for a 5th line, and she said all the lines would have to stay active for 90 days before I could cancel one of them.....even though basically the 5th line would be free with their "add a line, get a line" deal....or the 4th line is on us (with auto pay).

None of the "add/get" or "line on us" stuff made any sense to me, and I didn't have time to spend all day chatting with them. The website says $35 per line for 4 lines with AutoPay and 4th line is free ($140/month). Well, $35 x 4 = $140, so I don't see how that makes the 4th line free.....and I don't have time to get into all that junk about bill credits and stuff.

I'm paying $100 a month for 4 lines with unlimited and 4Gb of high speed each.....and supposedly the now extinct Binge-On. Whether that stuff still exists or not, I don't know. My kids come close to the 4Gb each month, and always seem to be on wi-fi or only using YouTube or some other streaming. If all of that is not supposed to count towards the data cap, I'm not sure how they are coming close to the 4Gb.

I'm looking at the Assurant fine print and it states clearly $500 for iPhone 6 or 6s+. I also saw it at my Costco today. I thought it was a typo so I called 888-390-6867 and confirmed they will honor the statement. So I'm sending in my iphone 6 and will hold them to their own terms.

I agree it is a typo (for those blowing up right now) but contractually they are bound or they will owe me much more (like 3x + court fees) should they try to ignore me.

I have attached the scan of it for those that don't agree.

Also, having looked over the agreement, you most likely initialed next to the 6S and $500 part in the front. That means you acknowledged and agreed to the part.

The headache just to gain the cost of a 6s over a 6 is so little that its not really that worth it imo. But GL to you.

Is it normal that none of the 4 phones purchased in 2 trips was opened? Does Costco still open phones at the time of activation?

It just means you don't have to add a new line of service like this deal.

EIP is Equipment installment plan. The monthly payments for a device basically
Thank you for the detailed explanation. I took my 6s plus today to costco and got a Iphone 11 for $629 plus tax. The rep stated that $50 will be issued in bill credit and remaining $450 will be processed via rebate card after submission. I am not planning to use the Tmobile service for long and will cancel out once the rebate is received. Hope I could able to get the device unlocked after 40 days and cancel out the service.

I searched and couldn't find an answer. So if i go to costco , get a new line with a new account and keep it for a month or so.
Later on I join my friends family plan (to reduce my monthly bill), will my rebate be in trouble

It was a reseller so maybe stuff varies but Man I was afraid of that. I had paid $180 for the dud phone so I figured $150 each out the door wasn't horrible....

I'd love to not get ripped of if I go back for more phones, which I will if Costco has more stock.

Here is how I recall it being broken down. Where did I go wrong?

$50 phone
$36 tax phone
$50 phone
$36 tax phone
$25 activation line 1
$15 activation line 2
$80 plan
$7 insurance line 1
$0 waived insurance line 2

Math adds to 292... I think there was some tax on the activation or something too
If you enter your boost phone EMEI on this website what does it say? https://www.t-mobile.com/resource...-own-phone my sprint phone says blocked

I had this issue (Flex plan error) too. The fix was to call TMo and have them just add the lines to your acct, which allowed the Costco rep to get past the error. I think it requires a rep who's not clueless. Next time you go in, ask for the manager of the kiosk to do it - they're usually the most experienced person around.

Good luck.
Thanks so much, ended up going to the same Costco as my other family members and weirdly enough the system they were using on the computer looked very different than the one the rep used at the first Costco I went to. At this one they were able to pull up all of my information, no issues. It was close to closing but I'll be going tomorrow AM to finally get this all figured out. Thanks for the assist though! Thankfully I have a few different Costco's here in Houston.
