-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans
-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.
-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".
-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.
-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100
-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.
-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get
-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.
-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.
-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
This is ABSOLUTELY wrong
ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

1) Anybody has experience sending a organization supervised device as trade in and will it be accepted.
2) If I wish to change to another trade in device, do I have to change the trade in paperwork. Can I just scratch the IMEI on the trade in paper and write by hand the new IMEI of the replacement trade in phone. Some posts have said you can do that.
Can anyone guide on this ?

my options are
1. wait it out and just keep the 2 numbers ($70-100 for the 2-3 months of sprint service)
2. call somebody in the rebate department and make sure they update it to my correct number
3. just port and pray the rebate comes to that number
Question, at Costco can you open a new line in a tmo family plan and get the deal or do you have to port an existing one? What is the cost associated with this?
I am not clear why folks go through hassle of buying a line and porting it instead of opening a new one at Costco.
Thanks

would go back to Costco next week and have them change IMEI, could be huge headache otherwise

with metro prepaid, simply do not pay and line will cancel so assume Boost would do same

Just now called t-mobile cust.care and she said, only unlocked phones are eligible for trade-in. I am little bit confused on this, as this wiki said, "locked phones are fine". Also, Got a boost mobile and when i searched the status on https://ting.com/byod/ the response is as below : "Sorry, this phone can't be activated right now. This device has not reached financial eligibility." So, if the device is in this state, can we still trade-in? As many people got the boost mobiles and even this wiki suggest to get one from boost. Please help, if trade in a boost phone still works for this promo?
first, go on t-mobile and input IMEI, it should then say YES, all good and in general if someone giving you hard time, say you have to go + get new person, cut your time loss
YES, you can trade in locked iPhone 7 and it gets you $700GC - value of phone - let's say $70 is "worth" you will get $70 credit on bill + $630GC
my 7 is locked to Metro PCS and did with TM over phone as costco did not have stock esp 128GB
if anyone can not find at costco and is ok w/bill credits - call TM, explain checkout not working, give code for extra $50 off phone; TCARTIPI0T (that's a zero not letter O, code does not seem to be tied to me but whatever) and ask for free 2 day ship
also, for those NOT on a T-Mobile owned co, like Metro PCS, you can get a $200 Visa GC, posted link in here it also required a code + specific number to call
plus b/c my initial rep took so long, kept talking on + on about her home + food and then added insurance i did not ask for but was charged for; TM promo dept is giving choice of ANY iPhone case + liquid screen (125sh + 50 + 30 waived fees = 205)
there for 2 years but fine with that
may try costco again for 2nd line but not a BF in person shopper and do not like crowded place (concerts ok!)
time for turkey, happy thanksgiving!
