Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.

Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.

My AT&T contract will end on 12/12/2019. If I get in this deal right now with a new T-Mobile number, what would be my best option to keep the original number after 12/12?

Can I call T-mobile to port in the number and swap out my new T-mobile number? Will I still be able to get the rebate?

Or should I port the original number to e-sim with the cheapest prepaid plan first?

Any suggestion is appreciated!

How you guys are dealing with this? I believe it's a must have have that the phone has to be paid off. I also checked this and found my phone is also displaying the same message as you mentioned. If it's the case, do we get to know at the costco counter that our phone is not eligible or after 2-3 months (once rebate has to be processed)?
But Swappa shows it is clear...why would sprint display phone has to be paid off if new owner (us) already took needed plan and bought phone for the price store sold

Bought 4 iphone pro 64 GB space grey at Manassas VA Costco today..2 were port ins from AT&T and the other 2 were new lines. The whole process took 2 n half hours but finally got a new plan 4 lines for $180 less $20 for autopay and 4th line free so final cost $140 for 4 lines.

The store had 10 iphone 11 64 GB and 12 iphone11 pro (6 - 64 GB and 6 - 256 GB) in the morning. By the time i left 2.5 hrs later, only 3-4 pros were left and 11s sold out.
Colors are limited for tmobile iphones at costco as i see it- white and purple for 11 64 GB
Space grey for 11 pro 64 GB and 256 GB
Was your account opening process went smooth with one try ? Or did the rep has to try couple of times ? Didn't your session timed out ?

Can you request a check from TMobile for the bill credit? Or does it just sit in your account as a negative balance?
No - they do a credit on your account.
And since you are a customer, why not?

I checked last night and there was no stock in the greater houston Area. Most managers either didn't know or didn't think anymore stock was coming before the promotion's end date (Thursday).

FYI anyone in STL went to two Costcos (St. Peters, Manchester) on the way back to IL from Thanksgiving and both were sold out. Hoping for better luck this week, will call Geneva IL Costco this afternoon when I'll actually have a chance of leaving soon. Anyone been to Geneva?

ooo i've got a new question, before i drive an hour to a store that has some in stock...

my plan is T-Mobile ONE @Work TE. is this a qualifying plan to add lines to in order to get this deal? (without changing plans).

the wiki says "T-Mobile ONE" qualifies, but technically that's a different plan. costco rep said nope, only essentials and magenta. but we don't listen to them. so thought to ask you guys. anyone able to complete this offer by adding line(s) to their T-Mobile ONE @Work TE?

Called Boost Mobile customer rep to inquire why Ting is showing below message, but they have no idea except putting on hold and assuring phone number is all clear....At this point, thinking of just going ahead and take the deal IF I can find TMobile phone in stock

"Sorry, this phone can't be activated right now. This device has not reached financial eligibility."...

Thank you for the reply. So by "activating" the line, it means to place call/text right? ty muxh

repped, sorry could not rep you for some reason
Thats correct. By the time you leave Costco kiosk, the lines would be active and you would be able to use the new lines for calls/text. If you go online on t-mobile.com and log-in using the new numbers, you can see your account details with all the linked lines/numbers.

Thanks, but dont worry about the reps.

But do you think costco rep is going to be okay with this trade in?
