Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.

Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.

I heard that the deal would be extended but the trade in value for an iPhone 7 would be lowered to $500.

Damn. Three of my traded in iPhone 7s were received by Assurant about 4 days after mailing. Looks like one other has been lost in the mail. USPS tracking shows that it's been "in transit" for about 4 days now and status hasn't changed. Based on tracking on the other boxes, it should have been out for delivery to Assurant when it "Arrived at Post Office
YORK, PA 17402"

Update for anyone wondering about the trade in process- I sent 4 iPhone 7 32GB separately boxed, each with just its own slip and shipping label (printed by wireless rep at Costco) just like the instructions said.

Started service on Sunday, the 24th
Mailed 4 phones on Wednesday, the 27th
Phones reached destination on Saturday, the 30th
Received trade-in credit for 2 phones on Monday, the 2nd
Panicked for two days
Received credit for 2 remaining phones on Wednesday, the 4th

I got a text when two of my phone credits were applied but my bill on the T-Mobile website/app eventually showed all 4 $59 credits (as "Adjustments").

My phones were all in good shape- one had light surface scratches on the screen and another had a replacement screen. It was a refurbished original Apple screen that was $50 on eBay. I think third parties buy screens with cracked digitizers and just replace that. It also had a tiny chip in the aluminum around the edge of the screen but it didn't affect anything. Everything else and the other two phones were mint.
Thanks for sharing this. Did you get any notification for the MasterCard ($641)?

Is there a contract with T-Mobile? How long do I need to stay with T-Mobile to avail this offer?
no contract. Some people say keep account for 3 months so as to minimize chance of being blacklisted by Costco wireless. Some say cancel as soon as get your rebate gift cards. All a gamble.

Probably wasn't scanned at the destination by USPS so didn't clear as delivered in their system. For me, only received 3 credits on my tmobile account so still haven't received the last traded in phone

Did you check IMEI before shipping? If so, did your phones have the Sprint "financial ineligibility" message that many of us are getting?
