-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans
-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.
-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".
-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.
-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100
-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.
-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get
-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.
-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.
-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
This is ABSOLUTELY wrong
ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

- Purchase date 11/22
- Ran into IMEI issue, waited for resolution
- IMEI issue fixed 11/27
- Submitted rebate 11/27
- Mailed in phones to Assurant 11/27
- Do not recall exactly what promotions.t-mobile.com status showed, but think it said "Submitted" and Date 11/27
- USPS tracking shows phones received 11/30
- Just checked the promo site today (12/11). It now shows status as "Received" and date 11/30. However, I have not seen the trade-in credits on my account.
Can someone who has gotten the trade-in credit in their account say what comes next? Do you get a text and/or email notifying you of the credit? After that, I guess we wait for the 6-8 weeks to be notified and sent the virtual prepaid card. I'm guessing no one has yet received that for this promotion.
It appears that there is no correct work flow. Different people there are working on different areas: (a) trade-in credit (b) updating the portal whether a phone is received or not.

11/29, mailed trade-in phones
12/2, USPS showed delivered, online rebate status showed received
12/5, received text and email about credit to one phone, T-mobile account reflected the credit
12/10, chatted with T-Mobile online rep inquiring about the other phone status. Deferred due to adjustment of trade-in credit value (lowered by $5). Accepted the adjustment through chat. Credit was reflected immediately on T-Mobile account. No email or text has been received yet.
The CSR also said, alternatively, I could also go to t-mo.co/tmo_check_order and accept the new value there. Will this work? I couldn't check now since I'm at work.
I would appreciate your inputs.
Cheers!

Thanks for clarifying
I called T-Mobile and asked them to switch from SIM that was installed in the phone purchased from Costco to eSIM. All I had to do is give them the EID number from the purchased phone. Took 2 min, and they switched it to eSIM. After that, I rebooted the phone and put my GSM card from my other regular line I've been using for years and VOILA! Both numbers are working fine in the new device, that way you still get the new digital rebate when it comes to the new number they issued. After that I assume we can cancel those new lines...
