Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Can someone who has already received the trade in credits on their T-Mobile account summarize the rebate flow they experienced? Here's my contribution:
  • Purchase date 11/22
  • Ran into IMEI issue, waited for resolution
  • IMEI issue fixed 11/27
  • Submitted rebate 11/27
  • Mailed in phones to Assurant 11/27
  • Do not recall exactly what promotions.t-mobile.com status showed, but think it said "Submitted" and Date 11/27
  • USPS tracking shows phones received 11/30
  • Just checked the promo site today (12/11). It now shows status as "Received" and date 11/30. However, I have not seen the trade-in credits on my account.
Can someone who has gotten the trade-in credit in their account say what comes next? Do you get a text and/or email notifying you of the credit?

After that, I guess we wait for the 6-8 weeks to be notified and sent the virtual prepaid card. I'm guessing no one has yet received that for this promotion.
in my case, all four phones received. On two of them, I see the status as "received" on Dec 10, but no credit received. On one of them, I see the status as "Pending", however I received $54 credit today Dec 11.

It appears that there is no correct work flow. Different people there are working on different areas: (a) trade-in credit (b) updating the portal whether a phone is received or not.

not the gift card just the bill credit. I read from the previous promo that people got it 30 days after trade-in was recieved. the promo page said 6-8 weeks.

11/27, bought two phones and submitted online rebates
11/29, mailed trade-in phones
12/2, USPS showed delivered, online rebate status showed received
12/5, received text and email about credit to one phone, T-mobile account reflected the credit
12/10, chatted with T-Mobile online rep inquiring about the other phone status. Deferred due to adjustment of trade-in credit value (lowered by $5). Accepted the adjustment through chat. Credit was reflected immediately on T-Mobile account. No email or text has been received yet.

To those who had to accept a revised trade-in value, were you able to verbally accept the new value by calling T-Mobile Promotions Customer Care at 1-877-470-3619? I called that number and I was told that I need to contact the general T-Mobile Customer Care in order to accept the new value.

The CSR also said, alternatively, I could also go to t-mo.co/tmo_check_order and accept the new value there. Will this work? I couldn't check now since I'm at work.

I would appreciate your inputs.

Cheers!

Hey guys.. Is there a limit on unlocking phones after 40days ..someone told only 2 allowed in 12 months which i dont buy and dont believe... ithink we paid full amount and later getting rebate so there should not be any limit of phones to unlock on single account

It's two mobile device unlock codes per line of service in the last 12 months.

I got the 11 Pro Max, is it safe to switch my other SIM card from my other Tmobile account to this one now? We have two T-Mobile plans, one under my name, one under my wife's name. I called to get an eSIM so I can use both numbers on the new device, but they are asking for the EID number from the other phone, and I got scared they may link both accounts or something... What's the best way to get both lines (old line with Tmobile and new line that was assigned on the new phone and which will receive the digital rebate) to be working on the new phone?
Thanks for this. I tried setting up esim through chat last week but the guy said I can only do it at the store. I tried chat again today after seeing this and I'm using esim now.

Just FYI for those that need to have two numbers enabled on their new phone, since they do have the Dual SIM capability (one eSIM, one regular SIM).
I called T-Mobile and asked them to switch from SIM that was installed in the phone purchased from Costco to eSIM. All I had to do is give them the EID number from the purchased phone. Took 2 min, and they switched it to eSIM. After that, I rebooted the phone and put my GSM card from my other regular line I've been using for years and VOILA! Both numbers are working fine in the new device, that way you still get the new digital rebate when it comes to the new number they issued. After that I assume we can cancel those new lines...
Are we sure that this will not mess up rebate process because the imei you submit, with rebate and phone number, will change to imei2 after moving phone number to esim
