Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Hey does anybody have a step-by-step guide for applying a rebate? When I try to apply the rebate from the link mentioned in the forum I asked to provide my login information which I do not have... do I have to sign up as a fresh T-Mobile customer since the temporary password which I got through SMS At the time of purchasing the device is not working
Did anybody provide such a guide? Interested in providing a rough guide for others?

My status just changed from Pending to Received and am not sure what that means. I already got a message week ago that my trade-in phones have been received and credit had already been applied to my account.

But I am a little confused about the status - Received change. Does that mean T-Mobile received my phones or do they mean I received the Pre-paid card, which I haven't yet.

Reward Information
Reward Type: Virtual Prepaid Card
Status: Received
the phone arrived(received) by TMO/Assurant

Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. We have received your SIM Unlock Request. Unfortunately, this subscriber is not eligible to receive the unlock code at this time. In order to be eligible, the IMEI must have usage by the mobile number requesting the unlock code and the account must have a minimum of two monthly service payments since first use of requested device.

I received the above email from Tmobile unlocking team. I have already crossed 40 days, anyone faced similar issue?
Hi, I got the same message when I tried for unlock. I am wondering is it just to pay 2 bills atleast? were you able to unlock?

It indicates that Tmo has received your online rebate submission. After your trade-in phone is delivered to Assurant and passes the inspection, you will get a bill credit. But the status is likely to stay "Received" until your rebate is approved and then you will receive your rebate gift card.

You need the right rep to whitelist the device and then it immediately unlocks when a ticket is raised.

I got same message, called CSR and was informed I need at least two payments on my account. I paid over the phone immediately and she made a new unlocked request after that. I got unlocked approval email in 5 minutes and the phone was unlocked 8 hours later.

OK, I hope my DP will help to answer some of your questions:
1. Multiple lines (5) submit difference times, mailed in trades, etc... between 11/26-12/15
2. YOUR email of receiving the trade credit is VERY important = it showed that they are receiving the trade via USPS mail and they accept the trade ( credit for xx amount ) .IMO this is very important .
3. The web site will update from received , pending , bla bla ... This is mean nothing until you get the button "Redeem card" ...if you submit and receive a "denied" : Call 611 on your TMO phone, ask to follow up, NO status will change unless you call and follow up.
4. In my case, the CSA is resolve -ALL of 4 of my submission- and resubmit them all to Pending state, after few day, I got "redeem card".
5. The card can be virtual, physical, or whatever you want, once you login to the website to -redeem card" . For me, I just transfer them all to my bank... how simple is that.
6. Now you can wait for 41 days (from activation) and request to have phone unlock. Wait for confirm.
7. Your can keep the Tmo, down grade the lines, or move to whatever ISP you want.

HTH, Tan

I believe it's a general reminder. I too received a similar text from T-Mobile for the $580 promotion although my phones were delivered and bill credits received.

"T-Mobile final reminder: In order to receive your rebate for the Costco 2019 Save on iPhones (RESTRICTED Contingency) promotion you need to trade-in your eligible device immediately. For shipping info and label go to t-mo.co/trade-in"

Received this text today. Tracking shows phone arrived but haven't received the trade-in credit yet.
My status is shipped trade in phones, got bill credits for all 4 phones. Online status say "Received."
I called tmobile promotions after receiving 4 of these text messages. They noticed that on my account, all rebetes were linked to the same one primary phone number. Turns out since I had used my one primary number as the contact number for all 4 rebates, it used that same number as the phone line associated with the rebate even though for each submission, i specifically chose a different phone line. The rep stated that it was a server error but now we have to wait until they deny the remaining 3 rebates and resubmit. They have fixed the problem on the website for future submissions, but really poorly written software to make such an egregious error. The system overwrote the chosen phone line with the contact number. I'm just disappointed with this whole process and the number of places that they have incorrectly handled the processing. I hope they resolve this and I can get my rebate.

Did you select the same phone number at Choose the phone number you would like to send the virtual card to. You will receive... for all four rebates? Or was it somewhere else?

I did exactly what you did and received credit msgs on the same number already. Looks like I may need to call them to fix the underlying issue. Confused
