Jeez...

-Simple Choice is NOT eligible. No, your account isn't special. It won't work. You have to change plans

-If you don't walk out of the store w/ the new Iphone in your hand, you will get bill credits. Which means you are stuck for 2 years and the extra you're paying for the line lessens this deal.

-Deal is $500 rebate for 6s phones, $700 for iPhone 7 and beyond. If you have an iPhone 6 or lower, you're getting no rebate. End of story. There are no loopholes or "what ifs".

-Phone screen can't be cracked. Not a "what about a little crack in the corner" comment. It will be rejected. Same goes for "what about a home button not working." Try it, but don't be surprised when it gets rejected. It's your $700 gamble. Stop asking if it will work.

-If your screen is cracked, get it fixed by a 3rd party place before sending in. It's typically less than $100

-Phone can be unlocked after 40 days w/ a request to Tmobile, and then used with any wireless service.

-Can't cancel line until you get your rebate; then go ahead and cancel or port out. Rebate takes 2-3 months to get

-Phone supports dual sim, so put your current ph# on the Esim (just go to a Tmobile store and ask) and the sim card with your new # in the phone. Yes, you can now have 2 numbers on new iPhones. Then you don't risk the phone # not being active while waiting for the rebate.

-If you want a cheap iPhone 7, look on the internet. Don't be lazy. Otherwise try a boost mobile store and read the "instore promo" offers on their website. Some are shady, so ask everything they're charging you for.

-Lastly, don't trust the Costco wireless reps. Hundreds of people here have done this and similar deals. They know better than any rep you will meet, as they've all done these deals.
Please make sure that you buy the phone outright, meaning limited colors and storage options.

My local store didn't have the iPhone 11 in stock and I was told I'd still get the GC rebate. After reading all the paperwork, when I got home, this isn't the case. Had to go back to cancel the line and wait for the phone shipment to arrive to go back and return that (which you have to mail yourself with the label provided). 2 weeks later, EIP is still on my account.
You are talking CRAP.....stop telling untruths.

This is ABSOLUTELY wrong

ANY listed phone, ANY carrier.....as long as its in good condition and not icloud locked

Has anyone succesfully unlocked their phone? and what are the updates on the rebate? Mine still said received...
Today I was contacting their twitter staff for unlocking and was told that I need to wait for 11 more days, and asked me why I wanted to unlock. I replied that I plan on overseas traveling. then they asked when and where to go etc. I am not quite happy with that and told them I will just wait for 11 days more and come back. I used to unlock 5 phones through them without being asked. This time it was most annoying.

I did in the pc while on call with them...after they merge the balance you can transfer money at once
Can you merge the multiple cards balance yourself? or you need to call them? thank you
I remember reading some post which said one can merge the cards within HELP section, but I could not find it on the cel.

Or, do I call the helpline dept to merge the multiple cards? lol

Got my rebate transferred. Hit the 40 on Friday and requested an unlock. The email arrived 2 days ago and took 48 hours to kick in. Confirmed the unlocked worked and cancelled this morning before the 2nd bill cycle. This was a smokkkkkkkking deal. Thanks for posting it.

and what happens when they don't meet this "obligation" of processing within 6-8 weeks?
you get a big, fat "we're sorry for the inconvenience. we'll work to fix the issue as soon as we can", and jack$hit besides that.

i hope you don't think there's actual human beings going through the (tens of) thousands of rebate submissions and approving each one manually. it's an automated system designed to send out approvals on day 29/30 as long as all the qualifications are met. if that timeline has passed, it means there's an issue with their system (in this case, for all submissions from 11/27-11/30) that needs to be addressed before anyone gets their card.
you can choose to bring it to their attention now, or be a good foot-soldier and wait out the 8 weeks before doing the same thing.

there's absolutely no problem in asking them to justify why someone submitting in Dec got their money before another paying customer who had submitted in Nov. enough people enquiring about it will make them realize and address whatever system issue they're having for 11/27-11/30 rebates.
No, I don't think people are sitting at desks with stacks of printout. What a condescending suggestion. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

From what I've seen in the past is they seem to complete the rebate when you've hit the 2nd billing cycle date - so they have you for at least two full billing months since there's no proration when you drop a line. Maybe not always, but it does seem to be the usual.

That type of "sorting" for rebate finalization is certainly not going to align with the FIFO sorting people here seem to expect.

Or there's some other sort of non-FIFO sorting going on. We don't know, and we're not going to know.

In any event, whining and crying on Slickdeals accomplishes nothing but annoying the rest of the folks here.

I received my second bill today and after close look found bout:
1st Bill period- Dec 5 to Dec 5 (120 for 2 lines)
2nd Bill period- Dec 6 to Jan 5. (120)

Is this right? Why my first bill is only for 1 day?

You are billed in advance. Despite what the period says, the 120 you pay this month is for service from Jan-Feb. It will include any charges that you accrued in the last billing period (Dec-Jan) but the service charge is for the current month. Postpaid plans and prepaid plans are really the same in terms of billing these days, save for the potential for extra charges you can accrue on postpaid plans.
