Bestbuy has decent deals on the UNLOCKED G7 Power ($129.99) and Z3 Play ($99.00) again. Like usual, ya gotta take the hard credit pull and be willing to cancel the new Verizon line within 3 days. You only pay for the phones in the store and they are Factory UNLOCKED. NO REFUNDS NECESSARY FOR THE ACTIVATION FEE OR SERVICE CUZ YA NEVER PAY FOR THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Keep in mind that you're way better off doing this deal instore.

is there a reason that doing the verizon activate cancel is better than sprint? they have it for 99 if you activate on sprint, but i'm assuming sprint isn't as easy to cancel or has cancellation fees associated with it canceling out the 30 savings?

Can someone explain/confirm my understanding of this strategy from the post for a noob.
"Like usual, ya gotta take the hard credit pull and be willing to cancel the new Verizon line within 3 days."

So you can get the phone for the deal price on an existing Verizon line if you activate a new line when buying the phone, cancel it within 3 days, and then activate it on your existing line? Thanks

@badrobot

I got the x4 last year like this (Sprint):
Walk in, give driver's licence and let them to credit check.
Sign paper (contract), get phone, buy a $1 Sim (optional) and go home.
You can then call Sprint and give any reason to cancel (they have a policy for within 30 days) or port the number to another line and contract is cancelled (I did that). Since it is a factory unlocked phone, it'll work on any line/ network/ plan provided it has the capability (gsm etc).
