This is YMMV, but I believe easy to replicate.
Here are the steps I took:
1. Call Canon sales:1-800-385-2155, and say you want to purchase the EOS-R, and ask about the customer loyalty program.
2. You need to currently own a Canon camera and supply them with the serial number. The camera needs to be defective or at end of life.
3. I was given 20% off of the Eos-R sale price of $1,799. Not the base price, but the actual Black Friday sale price. The advertised discount is 15% off, but I didn't ask why I received 20%.
4. You must purchase over the phone and with a credit card.
This is a huge steal over buying gray market and needing to buy an adapter and extended warranty separately.

CORRECTION:
I did recalculate lens price if you buy rf-24-105mm-f4-l-is-usm as a kit lens
https://shop.usa.canon.
With 20% discount kit comes $2159.20 before taxes, Body only is $1439.20, difference is $720 (not $635 as I wrote before, for some reason I forgot to subtract OP taxes from the price)
Cheapest ever price on Amazon is $899 (actually current price), B&H and Adorama are the same
https://www.amazon.com/Canon-RF-2...DER&sr=8-1
IMHO it certainly worth $720 brand new. Unless you have pretty good selection of Canon L glass, you may consider buying kit instead of body only.

May I ask why you did not go with EOS R RF 24–105mm F4 L IS USM Kit for 20% OFF and bought body only? Total price for the kit with 20% discount would be $2160 before taxes, so $2160-$1525= $635 for the lens. RF 24–105mm F4 L IS USM is priced everywhere at $800, so $635 is a great price for new L lens, especially one that was designed for the camera and does not need adapter
I appreciate the credit, although not necessary!
Edit: I just noticed that your link was my comment on the grey market one from ebay. Here's the link to my actual post.
