Where $141 for 36 months is $3.91 a month, about 25% more from that deal.
I would say this is only worth it if you were about to subscribe to disney+ and want a 25% off the normal price.

I am in Midwest and unsure if D23 is useful for folks outside of CA or FL, or to those who frequent their parks.
I already signed up for the 3-year Disney+ at $141 when it was offered and that required only base / free D23 account.

We haven't used much of any other benefits except early access to some tickets for Disney musical coming to my town. We missed out on some movie premiers before we signed up but there really isn't much outside of FL and CA as far as events that you can go to. The D23 event they have every 2 years is probably the reason most people get it.

I'm pretty sure the only difference between Family and regular membership is that you're allowed to bring up to 3 guests to events. All other benefits are exactly the same.
I was debating using this promo myself just to get the pin set they're giving out for this year when you become a Gold Member (different gift each year) but I'm not sure it's worth the $65 plus the shipping charge (about $8 to $12 I think) just to get an extra set of pins.
