For Black Friday Verizon is having a deal on the iPhone 11s. Purchase an iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max on a new line on an unlimited plan with port-in and receive $400 prepaid Mastercard. Also, trade-in a qualifying older phone (iPhone 7 and newer, Google Pixel 2 and newer, Samsung Galaxy S8 and newer) and receive $400 back in monthly credits ($16.67 x 24 months). There are also lower tiers of monthly credits ($300, $200) for older phones traded in. Plus sales tax on retail price and activation fee ($40 if purchased in store, $20 if purchased online or using in store pickup).

I was in the market for a new phone but didn't need two (they've had BOGOs for a while now). I plan on porting my Google Voice number (cost $3 to unlock GV number and receive account number) to meet those qualifications. iPhone 11 64gb: $700 + tax + act fee - $400 MC - $400 BC = ~$0

$400 Mastercard takes 6-8 weeks to receive from online submission date. Bill credits start within 1-2 bill cycles.

FOR MILITARY/VET CUSTOMERS, THIS PROMO ALSO STACKS WITH ONE YEAR FREE AMAZON PRIME DEAL LISTED HERE: https://slickdeals.net/f/13478128-one-year-of-amazon-prime-for-verizon-military-customers-when-adding-a-new-smartphone-line-on-device-payment

A bit of work but it can be done. Add a line to your account, porting in a number from Google Voice (you can create a number right now for free). Afterwards, port your real number to GV. Then just use Google Voice moving forward (all calls will be made/received in the GV app instead of the native dialer). You can port your real number back after 30+ days to replace your old GV number.

So you basically profit $100? Tax and activation would make you break even?

I've thought about that. But kind of annoying for callers to have to wait while you enter the 1 key to accept the call. Right?

Yep. You're basically exchanging your old phone for a new iPhone 11 at no cost other than staying with Verizon for 2 years.

But this has to be a port in? Just thinking about canceling the line since the phone number isn't important and using that to add a new number.

What about texting? iMessage would work but non-iPhone users would have to use your new number, correct?

That's an option if you want them to identify themselves, you don't have to have that enabled. You can have calls ring straight through if you prefer.

Texts would come to the GV app.

If you don't care about your number just port in a GV number and cancel your regular number and you're done.

Hi, I'm new to slickdeals so hopefully it's ok to ask question. Do you think this is the best option so far if we have 6 lines with AT&T that I'm considering moving over due the the overall bill should be lower, as well as Verizon has the 1st Responder discount, that for some reason AT&T won't offer to customers living in Massachusetts . 4 phones of our phones are7's and 2 are X that are paid off. I was just thinking of heading to Costco to check out their deal in person since the ad was a little confusing but I would love to find a better deal that didn't require that.

This would be a better option as your net cost on the phones is zero.
