I bought this saw from Amazon for $325 and the Rigid stand from Depot $99. For $25 more than the Frontpage deal but have a way better saw and stand.

I love this saw. Now, my only gripe is unlike the Bosch Glide, you need a lot of depth. But that's really about it. I've been using it with Diablo 60T combination blade and cuts very smooth with all types of wood including ply's. This seems to be the price but if Lowe's sell them at the same price and you have a 10% coupon even better. That's how I got mine down close to $300. Bosch doesn't seem to ever go on sale though.

That's a fixed (non-sliding) saw with a non-rolling more compact stand.

For large saws like these I would get a stand with wheels.

Blah. Went with the 779 with modification this summer. Was a big pain. Needed like 4 different torx driver sizes and long ones in some cases. Also it only sort of works since it seems to short out occasionally. But it's such a pain to get in the handle I don't want to try and find the issue. So in short...get the 780 if you can.

This is not a sliding miter saw and I'm not confident this model has the shadow laser system either.

How does this compare to the hitachi C10FSHC that's 70 less? Aside from the obvious 10 vs 12, the zero clearance seems nice.
