For those looking for two states, all you need to do is load the software on two different computers / laptops. Do federal and your primary state on your main laptop. Save federal file folders to a thumb drive.

Then download the software to second device (works for 5 devices), and import federal file folders from your thumb drive. Federal will show up on 2nd device, and you can add a state (since you don't import files from state). Do 2nd stat taxes on 2nd device, and save to thumb drive.

Import 2nd state back to primary laptop, and you've got both.

I've been doing this for like 5 years with MA and RI, and never fails. Probably a lot easier than my description makes it sound.

Not a TC but the sweet spot for Deluxe (Fed and State) over the years has been $15-20, you just have to wait on it until late December / early January.

edit: after digital credit this got Deluxe down to around $10 for me.

Nothing exists that will help you. Have been stuck in this S niche for 15 years. Always have to add another state no matter what software I use

Looks like you get one state filing. So you're either going to have to buy 2 or try looking up if the state offers some sort of free filing. I know Federal does some free stuff but not sure about state. Good luck!

If you live in Ohio don't waste any money on the state program. The state has a free and easy to use system at the state taxation website. They call it I-file.

I have been using block premium for the past 10 years and have been very pleased. I do mine and 2 of my kids to use the 5 free e-files
