Tekton (SKT25301) has a better set (more sizes, includes a small breaker bar) but it's $141 right now.
Edit: Just looked again, and the Gearwrench 80550p is on sale today for $64.64. At that price, I'd jump on that one over this one. If just must have Milwaukee, this is still a steal, but if you just want a good 3/8 set, the Gearwrench is a better value.

The four-flats seemed gimmicky to me, but it's actually super handy. They prevent rolling and provide a solid grip surface to hand-start fasteners using just the socket. It's also really handy in low profile situations, where you can get the socket on, and grip the socket with a wrench. The 90-tooth ratchet is low-profile and buttery smooth. I agree with the prior comment that you won't be able to break off every fastener with a ratchet of this length, but that's a function of physics and not brand (really, you shouldn't be using a short ratchet to break tight fasteners anyway). Breaker bars from Harbor Freight are decent and Tekton is good too -- I'd recommend getting a 3/8" one at 18" long to complement this set.
Could always cry once and get it over with and get that big 192 piece DeWalt set that covers 1/4 - 3/8 - 1/2 drives. I know the initial 149.99/179.99 price is a bit up there but when i look at all the $50-$75 sets i got previously i would of done way better to just get there big dewalt set to start. Either way this is a nice set youre picking up also

Do Dewalt or Milwaukee warranty their products if I break a socket? I know Craftsman used to do so but with Sears being non existent I wouldn't even know where to begin on getting a replacement. Looking for a brand that has a no hassle warranty online or even better if I can walk on a local store and get a new socket if one breaks?
The second time I replaced a Craftsman ratchet at this same Lowe's it was a 1/4" ratchet, and the employee this time questioned me as to why it looked different than the one I picked out. I explained my ratchet was "made in the USA" and that her ratchets were all newer versions NOT made in the USA. "It's an old ratchet, and Craftsman doesn't make them like this anymore," I told her. She gave me a hard time because they looked different, so I continued to explain that it was simply a 1/4" ratchet that was made in the USA that looked different from the newer-style 1/4" ratchets that were NOT made in the USA. She eventually replied, "Eh, it's not my problem, I'll do it for you," then she processed the trade without taking any of my information. She was all by herself working the help desk, return desk. the store phone, and the order pickup desk, so she was very busy and probably unhappy at being alone (I walked up right as two employees took off their badges and walked off, either to lunch or end of shift).
I tried to replace the 1/4" ratchet at ACE Hardware, seeing as they carry Craftsman (at least mine does), but she refused. She said, "We're trying to get rid of our Craftsman. Try Lowe's."
