Chase Checking & Savings $900 Bonus Offer
I'm not sure if this was targeted or not. It was an offer under my Marriott Chase credit card account. You get $900 cash back when you open a checking and savings account through the link. Sure the interest rates are crap...but once you get your $900 after 3 months, you can close accounts and move elsewhere. Seems like a killer deal...unless I'm missing something? https://accounts.chase.

Setup a direct deposit of $500 a month or have a balance of over $1500 to avoid fees on checking. And maintain balance of over $300 on savings to avoid fees.

I started a $500 ACH transfer initiated from Schwab to the new Chase checking, will see if it counts as a direct deposit.
EDIT: Also, the banker said to keep the accounts open for 6 months. Not sure how they'd take the bonus back if you transfer it out but that's what they said.

Please let me know how the ACH works==and yes keep the account opened for 6 months they can report it on your credit report and make it more difficult to open up checking accounts. When you open checking accounts they do a soft credit pull and that's where a bad checking account/savings account remark could show up.
