I'm not sure if this was targeted or not. It was an offer under my Marriott Chase credit card account. You get $900 cash back when you open a checking and savings account through the link. Sure the interest rates are crap...but once you get your $900 after 3 months, you can close accounts and move elsewhere. Seems like a killer deal...unless I'm missing something?

Id like to hear if there is a way to stack these two deals now and if a coupon code is needed to collect both. Wife could claim the bonuses. Oh on the cheap chase savings an easy way to avoid the fee is have an automatic trasfer move 25 bucks back and forth every month. When you downgrade the accounts it stays the same with the same account number. Just the fees and perks change.
Do you know if when we file taxes, the bonus need to be reported? And about points does it need to be reported as well? When you say move 25, how did you do? I need to downgrade the Sapphire checkin to regular. Wife got normal chase account, so no luck for another bonus for us.
Now, this $900 bonus First, make sure you don't have a savings or checking account with Chase, otherwise, you're disqualified. You'd need to deposit $15K within 20 days of opening your SAVINGS ACCOUNT and maintain that amount for 90 DAYS. I wasn't able to do the $15,000 money transfer from another bank because of the large sum amount. Had to do that inside the bank with a check. Ymmv with this step.
2nd, open a new checking account and set up a direct deposit. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A DIRECT DEPOSIT made to your checking account within 90 days of opening. It doesn't specifically say how much the amount has to be for the direct deposit for each month. I just put $50 for each pay check. Direct deposit, according to the terms, "need to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to person payments such as Chase Quick Pay with Zelle, are not considered a direct deposit. I also put in $1500 into my checking account upon opening the account to avoid that $12 monthly service fee. There are other ways to avoid their monthly service fee, but the $1500 was the simplest, for me.
So, you will get a $900 bonus if you open a new saving and checking account and you do what I've mentioned above. According to the $900 bonus terms, they will deposit that $900 into your checking account within 10 business days.
PM me if you need that $900 coupon code.
Also, for the direct deposit I saw the same wording that it requires a paycheck basically. I'm still going to try the bank to bank transfer from WF to see if that works (you'll know in 2 weeks if you don't get the $300 bonus). If that doesn't work I'll change my work direct deposit. But it sounds like several on here have gotten the bonus just from a bank transfer.

When I did this promo 2 years ago for the $600 bonus, I opened it inside my local Chase bank. They told me the direct deposit HAS TO BE from my PAYCHECK. A bank transfer would not qualify as a direct deposit. Also, back then, there was another requirement to the direct deposit. If I remember correctly, there was a minimum of $500 requirement each month for 3 months. As per this $900 bonus, there was no mention of how much is required, right? It just says set up direct deposit is required. What do you think?

Pretty slick deal if you ask me...I've earned the SD community (and cost Chase bank) ~200 codes sent * $900 each = $180,000! Keep them coming.

For the checking "direct deposit" it's just within 90 days. So I'll see soon since I opened and transfered from my WF into Chase. If I get the $300 bonus within 10 business days, then apparantely it worked! If I don't get anything, then I'll have to go the work direct deposit path. Point being, there is 3 months time to get that single deposit cosher with Chase. The only reason to keep depositing monthly is to avoid account fees (or just keep minimum $1,500 in the account to avoid fees).
Also ==are you sure that there is no amount requirement on the Direct Deposit??
The $600 one did have a $500 minimum
