Pro-tip: Call Harman Parts directly and ask to order the 65th Anniversary Pads for these. Look online for the part number (headfi, Reddit). The Annie pads are memory foam and non-angled, so they improve the bass. They cost like ~$80 but turn these into the K7XX when on.
With both sets of pads you basically get 2 pairs of excellent cans for $200, and can swap easily depending on what you are doing.
Also consider getting a mini-xlr to female 3.5mm jack for these (I got one off amazon). This lets you hotswap with standard 3.5mm cables or use something like the vmoda boom pro if you need a mic.

Not identical, I believe these ones have a slighter larger sound stage with the k7xx's having more bass

Used k702 are usually priced around $100-150, FYI.
I also tried Q701 and K7xx. They are very similar to K702, though 702 seems to have a little bit more roll-off on bass. I ended up keeping K702 and sold other two sets...
This post comparing all 700 series could be helpful too:

slightly different. 7xx was the same as 702 65th, which is different from 702. I would consider the 7xx slightly better, but this is a good deal
Do you have any suggestions or resources to explain which type of headphone design would be best for me?
