Yep, it was still on photobucket.
laugh out loud I'm shocked it was. I figured it was long lost in the archives of SD somewhere.

I have a sinus infection. I've had one for almost 3 months now. Every time it goes away, I stop taking sinus meds (they all make me sleepy) and it comes right back.
I've been using the neti-pot once every other day, but it burns so I must be doing something wrong.

My other rant: I started Summer classes today and they are intense. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but 70% of my grade is in a project that is due in one week. Going to one class for 5 hours a day ftl.

Use Listerine in the neti-pot. It'll feel reeeeeally good. Sly

Which class is it? I took summer class once in college that was about a week but 5-6 hours a day. Maybe it was two weeks long. I don't remember.

laugh out loud Sorry, but no way in hell am I dumb enough to try Listerine.... especially since you're the one that recommended it. Stick Out Tongue

It's Psychology in Education. The professor spent the first 30 minutes talking about how this wasn't a psychology class, though. Huh
It's 5 hours per day for 3 weeks. I need to get it out of the way now so I can apply for admission to the Teacher Education Program, but I had no idea how taxing it would be to sit through one class for so long.
I've had longer days at school (7+ hours), but never in one class. At least 2 people (out of 20) fell asleep ad several more kept looking around the room surely wondering wtf the professor was going on about. (Bloody nipples after running a marathon has what exactly to do with teaching?)
I just keep telling myself... 3 more weeks, 3 more weeks. laugh out loud

Check the temp of your neti pot water. It shouldn't feel warm or cold when you feel it. Try using just half the packet of saline.

Have you been on any antibiotics for the infection? Maybe you've got a resistant infection that needs a different drug. Comfort

And 5 hrs a day x 3 weeks = Shocking

Thanks, AM. I'll try to lower the saline amount. I haven't been on any antibiotics because I have no insurance. The OTC sinus meds work fairly well so I guess I'll have to stay on them even after the infection feels like it's gone.
The only reason I don't like taking them is because they make me so tired (90% of medicines make me sleepy, even if they're "daytime" meds).
Hopefully it's a seasonal thing.

And yeah, the class is draining. I'm not sure if I'll take Summer classes next Summer after seeing how this is. The "mini" session is a pilot program and I think it might go over better with a better professor.

Check with HEB. They have a $5 program - you join and then get a hugely reduced rate on meds. Or Walmart. Print the list of cheap meds and bring it to one of the redi-clinics and say "pick one!" hug

I'm taking LT for his repeat blood draw this morning. Boxing Those ladies better not fark it up this time.

I hate when I get a really soft-spoken person on the phone for tech help or something. I hate having to always ask, "what?" "i'm sorry?" "what was that?" ... "look, i don't mean to be rude but you need to speak up. i can barely hear you. Mad "

hug About being see and summer classes being stressful...and everything else hug

At Publix (if you have one) they have free antibiotics at the pharmacy. You don't even have to fill out anything...unless it's your first time there and then you just have to fill out a little notecard with your name/address/phone/email. We don't have insurance at the moment (Well we do..Cobra being assholes...another story)...anyway...I went to CVS to get Doxycicline filled and it was almost $40 out of pocket. That was for one week. Went to Publix the following week to get a two week prescription of it and didn't have to pay a penny for that or the other antibiotic I had filled. If you don't have a Publix...check around to see if someplace near you has something like that.
