EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Cashcall I'm not planning on keeping this more than 2-3 years max credits work out better vs the lower %
If 2-3 years max why not do an arm? Even lower apr.

If you are shopping 15 year terms, that means there's a chance you'll stay longer. I'd take the lower rate. Although I shop for jumbo loans. I don't need loans for tiny mortgages. Hence my reason for not caring about tiny credits.

Best option I got from better was 3.375 for a 30 year fixed. But with 1.102 points.

Not worth it when i am easily getting the same rate with less than 1 point. The amex credit just brings it down to the same as 1 point.

Exactly. Credits dont mean very much unless you have a tiny mortgage amount.

So there's a chance you'll stay longer? If you are confident you'll leave, even one hundredth of a percentage point savings is worth it.

Plus, the arm will most likely fall in this interest rate environment over the next 2-3 years.

So after signing up last week, I've been bombarded with emails and phone calls multiple times a day.

Then I sent them an estimate from someone local. Basically same rate except I didnt have to buy points.

They ghosted me. I'm guessing they couldn't match and didn't want to pay me $1000.

Didn't see this anywhere yet. Would this work if I got a new Amex this week, or is this for existing cardholders only?

Nice job. I'm assuming a Better wasn't able to beat that offer?

I'm more than satisfied. Better tapped out at 3.5%, and started assuming the $2500 Amex credit in their closing cost. Cash Call had a better overall deal all things considered.

Better told me that their best was 3.5 as well, but I showed them the offer I got from another lender, which was 3.375 with enough lender credit to cover all fees, and to my surprise better beat that offer by $1000. I was prepared to go with the other lender, but better exceeded my expectations. It's worth a quick email to them to see if they can one up cash call. It can't hurt.

Could you shop the other companies before and the day you submit to better also submit the comparing offers?

How long did it take for people to receive the $2,500 credit? My Loan funded on January 16th.
