EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Can you do another refi on the same Property? Refinanced and got the better credit earlier this month. but the rates are lower now and would want to do it again.

Were you targetted for the amex offer?

15 year refi is 2.75% now with cash call. Do you regret not waiting? This 2500 statement credit doesnt expire until 7/25. I feel like in this interest rate environment, its best to wait until the last minute to apply. Trump is pressuring the fed to lower the funds rate. Eventually they'll have to give in for our banking system to stay competitive.
Are you comparing APY or APR? Their website shows 2.95% APR. I regret nothing. The difference in interest rate (from my old loan to the new) was high enough that it did not pay to wait for my situation.

There's no T&C limiting you not to do another re-fi on the same property. You might as well rinse and repeat.
Am I missing something?
I dont think you'll get another 2500 credit if you do it again. Unless you have multiple amex cards.

Thinking of refinancing with Better.com but have following questions - Those who already did it, can you please help with information you got in documents?
1. I might be repaying loan every year to reduce the liability and come out of loan as soon as possible. Will there be any additional fees for repayments with better.com?
2. Anyone successful in matching CashCall offer for 15 yr fix - 2.75 % / 2.95 % APR and $995 Flat Fee and getting 2500 from Amex from Better.com? Looks like I'll be eligible for this offer with CashCall.
Thanks in advance !

1. No fees. I checked
2. Yes, you can ask for match. I did it. But it should be a official copy of the closing cost document.

My experience with the (probably 5-7) lenders/agents I spoke to was they nearly all refused to send me a true loan estimate. The few that did refused to put their lender credit on the estimate saying it would get added later. Super shady shit.

One dude literally told me he would not send me an estimate unless I locked in. I asked him why his "fee sheet" said, "Get an official Loan Estimate before choosing a loan." When I pointed that out he had no answer for me.

That said, I did end up getting a pretty decent deal through better.com it seems. Locked in last night at 3.375 w/ no fees and an $1,100 credit. The agent I had took some of the fee sheets and estimates I had to knock it down to that level. No increase in loan balance. My cost items add up to about $1500 but with the Amex credit I should hopefully get I'm in the green. Pretty happy overall.

I will also say that Better's website and process seem way better than all of the other ones I've dealt with over the past couple of days. Ally may be the only one that was similarly polished.

Won't work like in the past. Amex wised up. One redemption regardless of the number of cards you have unless you have authorize user or family member with separate account.

Not sure if others had this experience - but ever since I locked my rate, communication has slowed to a trickle. Yesterday my loan estimate was changed to a lower rate but more points and no lender credits. They also haven't contacted my preferred title company, even though I gave them the information about 5 days ago.

Not sure if I have a crappy loan officer assigned, or if others have had a similar experience.
What's the loan officer name?

Yes, that's why Better.com is asking for a official copy.
And I think serious borrows can get quotes after the Hard pull and compare. I found Better.com to be good. Even BoA could not beat their rates/costs or even match it.
And over that the 2500$.

Closed on Monday. My experience was excellent with Sean and Alyssa. Closing reps weren't as solid but when I called, I got things resolved right away. Like any refi, you need to check everything yourself. They might make a mistake. I had one with escrows. Overall, this was a slam dunk deal. 3.375%. No points. My out of pocket at closing was approx $1000 in NJ, so I'll make $1500 plus the rate savings monthly. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Did you reset your term to 30 years? Dont you want to pay off your loan before you die?
