EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Just started my refinance application to look for 15 year rates and seeing 3.625 with no points. How are you guys locking such a low rate? FYI - 760+ credit score, and 60% value/loan ratio.
Rates change significantly every week nowadays. Every day even.

I was told by better you can do it again.
You have to wait at least 6 months if not better may not take your file. Thats what I was told.

Are rates back up this week? Thought with people losing their jobs they wouldn't be focused on refinancing right now

I read some comments saying 'better waived home appraisal'. Didnt realize that it meant the fees was waived and not the actual home appraisal. My bad.
our appraisal fee and actual appraisal is waived

I'm surprised so many of you have good reps at better. Mine is awful at responding to me and straight up said it is the luck of the draw if he responds to your email because of how busy they are

Same here. I heard from mine once at the start and haven't gotten a response in a few weeks. Oh well. My local credit union seems to have better rates anyways.

There seems to be a lot of unnecessary confusion about the appraisal. I am also in NJ and I just closed yesterday with Better. This AMEX promo includes a waiver of the appraisal FEE only. You still have to have an appraisal done. Better simply pays the fee instead of the homeowner.
