Notary and closing
Here is what you can expect or ask for from my experience:
1. New pen for signing wiped thoroughly
2. Pen stays with you after signing
3. Only material they will touch would be your ID
4. ID would be wiped and returned back
5. Can expect gloves to be worn
6. Signing can happen in your front yard or in your garage
7. If you have a Costco table then you can sit on either sides to maintain distancing
8. Masks might be recommended given new guidelines
9. Plus discuss with the notary!!

Great! Thanks for the update.
Did you get an email from AMEX about this offer or did you just use the link in this post and started the application process?

I did not get an email from AMEX about this deal. I just used the link from this post. Better staff confirmed that I will get $2500 credit. Few here said that signing up from the link is sufficient to get credit from AMEX.

They definitely know people are using their estimates to match elsewhere, my rep was very clear they didn't want their time wasted and honestly was a little pushy. That being said, I got in at a refi at 3% for a 30 year, could have taken a 2.625 for 15 but in my situation it made a little more sense to do the 30 and just do more on principle. Will have to do a pretty large amount extra to get over PMI in a little over a year. Refi costed $0, they are saying they can close in around a month, we'll see.
Fun fact, once you reach 80% you can write in to have PMI removed, else the automatic removal happens at 78%, which time wise would be a year afterwards. Not talking a significant amount of money but money nonetheless going to nothing if you don't pay attention.

Was it accepted or rejected?
Is there someone I can reach out to and ask if locking in my rate now (despite a number of days passing since signing up through the link) will still provide me with the $2,500 credit? Amex? Better.com?
It also states there would be a free appraisal ($550 credit) but when I was told to lock in the rate I would have to pay the appraisal deposit. Is that free appraisal apart of the $2,500 credit or do you get additional money back?
