My neighbor works for PrimeLending and got me 20 year 2.9% with $2k in closing costs. Should I even bother with Better? I save 5.5 years on my mortgage and $76k in interest and my payment only goes up $100/month.

For me, it was after I confirmed my final closing disclosures, so 1-2 days before closing.

For all those guys who closed with Better, can you answer these 2 questions?

1. Did you get a loan number match and $1000 on top of it(first time quotes)?
2. How soon you closed your refi after you had finished all tasks?

I recently got 30 years for 2.88% with lender credit of $3900. I dont think AMEX $2500 is worth enough.

The 10 year is surging so rates are on the way back up. Will probably have to wait until July to see lower rates again. Starting to near the deadline.

Locked with better.com at 2.5% and ~1.5K in points for 15 year confirming loan. Got them to match to competing a couple of quotes after that. Finally landed at 2.375% and Zero points for 15-year loan. Closing tomorrow. Used Njlenders.com to get a competing quote.

I'm in the OC too. So the delay could be from the OC Registrar/Recorder. I changed the vesting and had to upload my trust statement as well. My title took 14 days to clear.

Got a 3.0% matched for 30yrs with about $2k in lender credits. Will cover all closing costs

Coming from a 3.5% with about 10 months into my original 30 year. Not bad saving about 120 a month.

Also will get the AMEX credit.

I have to escrow now however but not a big deal considering I pay in full every year anyway.

Thoughts?
