I work with Better,com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

I have both Sebonic and Better for 2.5%, but Better wants the fee 1k.

Sent them mssgs but they are very slow responding. As for the rate, if they do drop it for me, it lowers my monthly payments by exactly $12, or around $2100 for the 15 year term, so Im fine at 2.5. I would probably wait for a lower rate than todays.

How long does Better take to decide on beat/match? I sent them a LE yesterday morning and have not heard back yet

California residents: Owning.com has lowered their 15 year rate, no closing costs to 2.375%. I've asked Better to match it (I am a few days away from closing). I'm locked at 2.5%.

Mine took about 1 day overall I suppose but more like minutes.

I told him EOD on a Thursday that I was looking to see if they would match a rate. He replied Friday morning, I replied back with the LE, and he replied plus beat it within 40 minutes I think.

Similar situation locked at Better for 2.5. Did you send new LE from Owning to Better loan originator? Please update what Better replies with.

I just sent them a screenshot of the website and posted a message on the Better site. I didn't want to go through another LE request from Owning because I'd already used their LE at the start of the process with Better, and I think I am already outside of the window from the initial hard pull when I started shopping a few weeks ago.
