I work with Better,com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

I don't know how rates are dropping for you but for me they have only gone up since April/May.

I also refinanced at 3.25% for 30 years with Better in April without any price matching and additionally got $1000 lender credit. Now same rate would cost me about $1000 or more.

How far along can you go to try to get Better to match? First time doing a re-fi.

I'm at the "Your report is all wrapped up" anc Cleared on June 03 stage. Actually I've been at this stage for EIGHT days with no movement. Is this the "Underwriting Stage"? Been showing "TBD for Final Closing" for a week now. Still good to get competitor LEs?

For me Better is over 1% higher rate with similar closing cost (not counting Amex credit). They told me to take the other offer, no match.

I am in the process of receiving my CD on both loans I have in progress with Better. I noticed in my account that the loan estimates are no longer available to view. Is that because they are about to release initial CD?

Yes, but it is only the direct link to the Loan Estimate that is gone. If you go to the Overview page, you can click on Closing Costs and the link there to the Loan Estimate will work.
