EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Whats the thought on insurance coverage from Better, rates? I am going to speak with them on Monday about it.
Insurance coverage from Better? Huh? Could you reword your question as I don't see how Better has anything to do with insurance or even offers it.

So Better.com matched my AimLoan quote. After I lock I can still shop for title insurance, correct? I refi'd 5 years ago so I should be able to get a partial credit for re issuance. (Florida)

anyone attempt to do a back to back refi from Better.com and able to get amex credit 2 times?
That will never happen. If Better refi's you again, they'd get their commission on the first loan clawed-back. Standard Early Pay Off penalty expires after six months, so there's no way they'd refi you again before 6 months unless they are complete idiots.

I was in same boat as you couple of weeks ago (in TX). Hence, I sent them a competing title quote from https://www.titleclose.com/. It took them about a week but they increased the LC to match the difference. Eventually, when the final CD was issued prior to closing, Radian changed their rates to reissue rates and hence, I came out ahead because they had increased the LC earlier. Hope this information helps.

BTW, I closed on 6/11 and loan was funded on 6/16. Rate was 2.5% for 15 years.
Did you already lock your loan before you asked for them to match the quote for title insurance?

Im in the process. I started on June 3rd. Closing on June 21st. Same property. Different Amex card as we used my wife's Amex on the first one. I got to the task where I entered the last 5 of my amex card. Hopefully will receive it the 2nd time around. I did get a lender credit this time around, so I dropped it by .25% for 15 yr, 800 credit after all fees and 2500 Amex credit. My first refi was completed Mar 21st.

Interesting, I stand corrected. Not sure how they aren't getting EPO penalty. Can I ask, when in the process do you enter your Amex number? I just signed up and got the pre-approval and all that, but in the "tasks" section, there is no mention of entering an Amex number. Thanks for the help!

It is an educated guess with risk for me. From what I have read, people have posted that this deal can be done again on the same property, even the same card. However, I have not heard of anyone actually receiving the 2nd credit yet. For this time around, they gave me the 'task' after they sent over the initial closing disclosures. It was grouped within the last 3 task before my closing. It doesnt show up until the closing agent reviews the files and sends that to you (I just happened to be on the phone with him before about the numbers in the closing disclosures that I asked about my AMEX tasks). Hope this helps. I wont be able to report if it is successful until 8 weeks or so after my closing, which will be too late for the July 25th deadline.

I am a 2nd refinance with Better.com boat rider here. I am trying to refi again for my 15 year.

Thank you for the suggestion for GuaranteedRate. I tried Lenderfi, zillow, sebonic... all were high rates.

GuaranteedRate just gave me an LE for 2.375% for a 15 year with a .375 points. They have a 1100 lender fee in section A so its about 1926 total for section A. Submitted to Better.com to price beat. Hoping they do.

Loan is 230k, CA property.

Owning requires 300k+ loan or i would have gotten their LE.
Good to know. It's a good deal plus you will get Amex credit.

Someone about 10 pages back reported that they got their 2nd credit for the same property on the same card. I congratulated them on the same or the next page.
