EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Thank you for the quick reply. I did read the thread a while ago and started the process with better, but then things happened at work and got busy. My application is about to expire tomorrow, I am trying to get a competitive rate from lenderfi, but they are taking their time, totally my fault for waiting until the last minute. In case if I dont get the rates from lenderfi on time, should I lock it with better or let it expire and re apply? If I re apply, there will be another soft hit on my credit. So trying to decide which way should I take.
If you lock, and don't proceed, better will not let you do another lock for 60 days.

Hello,

Has anyone had success applying for the AMEX after the better.com application was submitted and receiving the credit? I have an application being processed and didn't know about the deal till afterwards.

I've heard conflicting things such as you had to be targeted for the deal and not sure what to believe.

Thank you

I was super up front with them and asked when we were locking my rate if my card qualified, because I didn't get an email with the offer. I have them my last 7 digits and told them the card I had, and they I guess, looked it up on their end, and said I qualified.

I closed on 5/29 so still halfway through till when the credit should arrive.

I closed on May 2nd and havnt gottten my bonus yet. If I reach out to Amex is there a department who could give me any status info on wh3b my bonus will hit? I got a 200k loan at 30 3.25% in South Carolina. Just watching the rate index linked early in this thread it was aro7nd 3.2 when I locked. Now it's 2.96. Wondering if I could do it again and get 2.875. But I'd like to see the first bonus hit first.

Can't recall if it's been confirmed if you can do this twice on the same home address?

What is everyone getting for 30year rates right now? Already got my $2500, and looking to possibly do this a second time. Was hoping to get 3% at with no points.

I just got a called from better.

They're approving my cheaper Title quote so I'll go from $1100 to $595 (saving of $505). So now my total loan cost is -$1369 into my pocket for 2.75% 30 years fixed.
