Is the offer actually shown on the Loan Estimate, perhaps in some form of lender credit? I've been warned against these types of "deals" where the LE does not reflect the deal, since the LE is the binding document. Better will likely not match it if it's not on reflected on the LE.

How are you guys getting such good rates from Better.com? Im at final approval with loandepot for 3.125% for 30yr, closing in a week, LE "D" total loan costs of $3229. Yet Better.com rates are outrageous. The same 3.125% at better.com would cost me $6700....

Closing scheduled for tomorrow. The title insurance went down about $400 too. My total closing costs should be around $700 (which includes 10 months of taxes and a year of HOI), and with $3,300 in my escrow account, I should net around $2,500, plus the $2,500 AMEX credit, plus $200 less per month for mortgage...I'll celebrate when the papers are signed and Better accepts them, but wow, this may be the greatest SD ever.

Make sure you keep escrow separate in our comparisons. That messes things up in a hurry.

better.com best with Amex deal
lenderfi very good and to the point
Mr Cooper lowered rates after I sent other estimates
AIM responded somewhat, but could not match

How long does it take to get the title work in order? The title report was ordered on June 16th and still haven't heard anything back from Better. I am saving $700 by going with my own title company, but what good is that savings if I have to pay my July mortgage if I don't close soon.

I'm halfway through my better refi and I just noticed my lender credits dropped by ~$700 from original. I've emailed my "team" of folks 4 days ago, but no response yet. Anyone had this happen with a valid reason?

Has anybody got a rate better than 2.375% for a 15 year fixed in the last day or two? What lender?

Today is the last day I can do a mortgage application without it dinging my credit. I'm locked with better at 2.375% but if I can get an LE for lower I want to see if they'll match it. Just not sure what lender to apply with...

They were going to reduce my credit if I dropped escrow. Not sure if you asked about that, just letting you know.

You will be paying July to SOMEBODY one way or the other. One is just at a better rate.

it might just the interest, depending on the funding date. I would pay more attention to the double interest buffer in case that it crosses a Sunday.
