EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

I got a better rate and lender credit from a competitor, sent it to Better to match the rate. They will match but the rep is referring to the $2500 credit and matched minus the $2500. In this case, should I rather go with the competitor? Any body ran into this situation? Thanks
lender credits $3600 at 3.0 (no points)
Lender credits ~$800 at 2.875 (no points)
Points -$3000 at 2.75 (6600$ delta from first option)
Of course 2.5k Amex on top.
720 k loan on a condo primary.
One thought is to close at 3.0 and redo refinance later again and buy max points to get to 2.75 or even less next time( using money I am putting in pocket this time )?.

Below is his details, good luck.
We provide the credit statement. The Credit statement goes to your AMEX card. I will not be able to provide any more lender credits because I maxed out the concessions I can give. This is our best offer.

I had the same issue.. took around 12 phone calls to finally get them to Look at the third LE and beat it. Was a total pain, but locked in now, so hopefully it goes well.
